Why so much hate for Campbell? Give him a decent run next season. He will score at least 20 goals next season if he stays fit.

Wow.. have you guys actually watched him? His goal against Reading in the cup was bloody amazing. Full run if games and we could be seeing that every week. I have every faith that if he stayed, he would beat that record Vardy set.

I like Campbell. I don't think he's been helped by the lack of 1st team chances, however, is he good enough for the next level that CPFC should be aiming for? Probably not, so would be good to get him off the wage bill along with one or two others.

Considering wages and transfer fees, has anyone done the maths as to who scored the more expensive goals (pounds spent vs goals scored), Adebayor or Akinbiyi?

Akinbiyi - £2.2m transfer (plus wages) for 3 goals in 24 games (according to Wikipedia), although I thought he scored fewer than that for us. Adebayor - c£1.8m wages for 1 goal in 7 games. Allowing for inflation etc, I'd say that EA was a better deal (just) - given that he also got the assist for the Campbell goal at Reading Edited by Charlie Croker (27 May 2016 4.12pm)
