Firstly I am amused it has happened as they are a rival. Secondly Palace have done pretty well out of the playoffs. However, you are bang right. The playoffs are a cruel system and if I was to comment without bias, the team that finishes 3rd in the league should be promoted if 3 are going up. We all know why it happens though. ..so does the team that finishes third.

Palace hold most of the records of futility in getting relegated from the Prem; Brighton hold most of the records of futility in not getting into the Prem.
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

I don't have the same level of animosity as others towards Brighton for obvious reasons but it would have been interesting to see them back at the top level for the first time since what must have been 1983. (The FA Cup Final year) Wednesday have been involved so many times before in the premier league it would have been nice to see an outsider for a change and to think they were but one goal away from an automatic promotion on the final day, sorry, but that's got to be hard to take. I don't believe they'll get that close again next season or beyond, but they've still done very well for themselves this last nine months.
