Great achievement and thoroughly deserved. Best thing to happen to English football in years. Not forgotten '96 though, hope they go down next season.

Congratulations also due to Burnley, back up at their first attempt. With immense parachute payments to relegated teams, they will stand an even better chance of an immediate return in future.

It's worth remembering that they are only in the Premier League due to defrauding FFP rules. Unless they can come out in the open and prove they didn't manipulate FFP it will always be tainted for me. Also, if they are eventually caught out and it comes to light they have cheated and tried to cover it up they should be heavily sanctioned. Sadly I don't think the PL can or will do anything.

Facebook is awash with people spunking their pants about Leicester today. Mostly people who have never even seen someone kick a football. It's nauseating and I (not so secretly) was hoping the Spuds would muck it up for them.

If we won the Premiership and people were saying the same things --- would you find it nauseating?

I congratulate Leicester City on their achievement, but do we need coverage from outside the King Power stadium 24/7? It's beginning to p1ss me off.

You are totally right, I know I am a hypocrite and that I shouldn't be feeling these things. I think a certain amount of bitterness comes from the early stages of the season where I didn't feel Leicester's first XI was particularly better than ours. Man for man I thought we were quite even, with the possible exception of Mahrez and Vardy (who actually I think just had a very good season, but CPFC definitely lacked a goalscorer). So a big part of it, I admit, is jealousy. I also don't think for one second that my Facebook friends would be quite so sycophantic if it was Palace who had won the league, partly because most of them have Brighton as their first or second team and love it when things go wrong for us. But all in all, I can't disagree with your criticism. It is indeed petty of me!

Apart from Schmeichel who was signed by Eriksson and Kante by Ranieri all the other regulars were all signed by Pearson. That said, let's not forget the excellent work carried out by their Head of Recruitment Steve Walsh and his team. Edited by Willo (04 May 2016 10.02am)

He managed to just about avoid relegation with the best team in England.

Yeah, credit to Pearson. He managed to just about avoid relegation with the best team in England. And got away with assault by using the classic defence "I can look after myself".

Some might argue that with 7 wins in their last 10 games last season, Pearson engineered a terrific revival which perhaps provided the "Springboard" for their success this season. In the end they finished 14th, 6 pts clear of the team third from bottom. Edited by Willo (04 May 2016 11.02am)
