Saw him in a testimonial fairly recently (seem to recall Chelsea being the oppo, but can't remember what the game was for) - he was a tad on the large side (though not as much as Andy Thorne) and made a lung-bursting run up the right wing, only to fall to his knees and keel over before getting to the ball! Fond memories

This thread is in danger of being hi-jacked...

But hilarious. How the hell would you remember a post from 2005?

Andy gray was a terrific player, could change a game with a tackle BOOM!! We were rarely bullied in his era , 40 yard passes to feet and a shot that would take your head off your shoulders if you tried to head it . Would walk into our side today in my opinion . f***ing legend

I didn't remember it but did a search on the BBS on the basis that if Willo and Trolley were indeed the same person then he would likely have boasted about it on the BBS too.

Well, given the amount of times he's denied being 'the legendary' Trolley, it must be difficult to find you've been busted for being full of s***. Unless of course the whole act is a wind up, which is plausible

Andy Gray was the type of footballer i loved to watch, gave 100% every game, never bottled a challenge and scored goals. If a scrap started he would be in the middle of it.Top man.

You do not have to be Sherlock Holmes to work it out,if you read Trolly's posts on the BBS and then Willo's its clear they are the same person. He got banned from certain sections of the BBS as he derailed them and they became all about Trolly.

What a co-incidence as the infamous Trolley on the BBS also sat next to the late, great Bill Nicholson at Selhurst too and he also regaled him with fulsome praise for Andy Gray.

Oh thank you - I mean its not like we didn't know but this is wonderful

It really is incredulous.Bill Nicholson was famed for his exploits, accordingly I should imagine many supporters in his vicinity would have wanted to have a chat with him. Someone, other than me has a conversation relating to a football matter and all of a sudden we are one and the same person ! This other person distinctly recalled the actual game, I couldn't remember it clearly but thought it might have been against Huddersfield and this has been confirmed to me today.

I really take it as a compliment that I am linked with a legendary figure on a Palace chat site given that I could never attain such status nor would I try and seek it.Thank you to you all.

Finally, I seem to recall that going back a few years, Trolley was already in his 70s, alas I am only in my 60s today. This is my last post on this Thread - I have said enough on this matter and don't intend to go over 'Old ground' having to continually repudiate such allegations.

I did like Andy Gray as he was Palace through n through. But it did sadden me to see him driving away from Palace before game when Palace were in real bad times, all laughing and flash.
