On 33 points our concern isn't whether or not Newcastle turn it around, its more about whether or not we can get 4-6 points from 30. If we were tight in with the bottom four, maybe their manager would make a difference, but really, if we go down, it will because we are too s**t to stay up. This is the point. If we take care of our own form none of us give a s*** what Newcastle do.

Newcastle certainly looked more organised tonight but there is no real fight in the team . No strong tackles, no fouls and no cards - a soft team for Leicester to beat without breaking sweat. Rafa may be a top manager but I can't see him installing fire in his players bellies like Sam Allardyce does. Sunderland will beat them next week IMO.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

What I cannot understand is that he has a get out clause if they get relegated ! What sort of commitment is that and why would you even consider employing someone who did not commit to the club or even offer such a contract. All very strange. Good manager and it will certainly give them a boost. If we are not on our toes now we had better be because the pressure is ramping up ! Who makes a commitment when he becomes manager? It all depends on how much lolly is offered!,

Without the clause Newcastle wouldn't have got him maybe not even in the summer if they stay up. If they do go down they might need to reduce overheads. He would probably be a fish out of water in the Championship.

Watching them play last night against Leicester and comparing that to when we beat them 5-1, you could see an immediate improvement in their shape and defensive qualities. Under McClaren they were a bit gung ho in my opinion, having not much regard for the opposition's ability to hit them on the break. I think they will improve further and by the time we play them at the end of April they will be a tough nut to crack. Hopefully by then we should have a few more points under our belts and relatively safe... if not, then we'll have a fight on our hands.

There aren't really too many players they have that I'd say have 'put themselves in a good marketable position' should they be relegated.

Six points will assure we stay up. If we're on say 33-35 points by then we're right in it.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |
