I think that only diehard Palace fans would convince themselves that Palace and Liverpool are equals Yes, but no. Players are increasingly making decisions for personal as well as professional reasons. Adebayor: "I have friends at Palace and want to live in London." Austin: Wanted to live near home, on the South Coast, which clearly influenced his decision to join Southampton. Agreed the very top players will always go to the very top teams but Liverpool are no longer a very top team (despite what their fans pretend) even though I concede they are bigger than us. For Cahill, it may be partly ambition. But then he may have a young family living in London with kids in school And he may think the way we're progressing, new stadium, new money and better players and all that we may be a 6th-10th place team but let's be honest that's what Liverpool are too. So iIs he going to take his kids out of school to move to a club that was big in the 70s, particularly if the wages, etc. are the same? Possibly he will. But possibly not. The Liverpool/Palace decision is not, I would suggest, as clear as it was a few years ago.
Sydenham by birth. Selhurst by the Grace of God. |

Well said syd there are so many factors to think off. Could he sell his house quick uproot his family and find another, as well as change club and sort his family. Liverpool are not what they were all they have now is money and the lure of Jurgen klopp. Even if it's a loan would he want to live up there and play and keep his family in London ?

What's the point? Dann and Delaney are fine for this season so no need to change. We need a partner for Dann that is going to take over from Delaney, not someone in on loan. Well i would say the point is that he's ten times better than Delaney

This has popped up on the BBC Gossip section. Interesting?
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

I don't really see the logic from Cahill's point of view as he would only be a reserve player unless Tomkins or Sakho were injured so he may as well stay where he is. I can see Scott Dann wanting more game time but I'm not sure that he would want to be relegated with Fulham as that would make the third team that he had been relegated with. If it were Cahill in now for very little money to replace Sakho leaving for a fat fee I could understand that but that isn't what's been mooted

From a squad standpoint it makes little sense to let Dann go.
