Yeah so if he does leave or they sell there going to want 20 mil or he'll end up sold to a foreign team I should imagine.

At that price we'd have to have lost our minds. Really quite pants at this level.

Came on as sub for Swansea tonight and rattled the post with a left-footed shot.

Co-commenator (Think Davie Provan) said words to the effect that you are never quite sure of what you are going to get from him.

Quote you are never quite sure of what you are going to get from him.

That sounds like an excellent reason for not spending £20m.

To be honest, I've only seen him in match highlights and in full matches against Palace.

Up against Hangeland at the end of last season, I thought he was probably the most ineffectual CF I'd seen against us all season. Which made me very pleased we didn't shell out 9m for him at the halfway mark.

I'll go against the grain here. What Gomis isn't, in my view, is a really top notch Premier League striker. He's clearly a step short of the very best. But I also think some here judge him very harshly. In the right side, he's a solid player at this level; one who's capable of 15 goals a season although he'll score some wonderful goals and miss some easy ones and probably go through hot streaks and long droughts where he looks pretty average. Physically, he's a beast but due to his physique, he's also the sort of player who can look really bad when he's having an off day. He's quite skillful for a big man too, although his decision-making is often poor so he doesn't always put his skill to good use. At the right price (10 million) I actually think Gomis would be a pretty good investment and furthermore, he has a high ceiling. In the right side and with good coaching, there's room for him to become a better player. I would not be averse to signing him at all; the sort of player who could do very well at Palace particularly in the style Pardew has chosen to play.

Not at all. I wind you up because of your verbosity, not the quality of your opinions (which often make sense.)

"Verbosity" to you but perhaps meaningless verbiage to many !

A powerful player, BUT his strike rate is poor. We need someone to score a hatful of goals and he cannot do that.
