I rang the ticket office first thing this morning and was told that they only have Blocks A1 and A4 on sale now for West Brom. These are the blocks at the outside edge of the section that has been allocated to Palace. This seems crazy: the most loyal fans (I have over 3000 loyalty points) are offered / encouraged to buy the least good seats. Surely they should put the most central blocks (in this case blocks A3 and A6) on sale first to reward loyalty? If anyone at the club (or with influence with the club) is reading this, please could you re-think it? I don't think I'm being unreasonable... Thanks. Palace have little to no control over this, it is set by the home club. Palace have to sell in the order that they are told to. Man U for example, dictate every year that the most expensive tickets are sold first. If Palace are confident that they will sell the allocation, then can sell in any order, but if they dont follow the instructions and then don't sell out and end up returning ticket, they have to pay for them. It is crazy, I often wonder why we dont insist on away clubs selling from the back forward, or some other crazy way of doing it.

i am surprised by the high points needed, but then again the club did similar for Watford away and then realised that they werent selling that quickly. We usually take a good following to West Brom anyway, and that is without POTD - so i would expect it to sell out. My other half is from West Brom, and she along with her family are baggies. Maybe i'll sit quietly with them in the home part.

If you are a fan living abroad and can only make it over to 2-3 games per year this loyalty points scheme means you can never attend an away game! Seems crazy. i understand the concept of rewarding the most loyal fans but there should also be a small allocation per game for 'other' fans who for one reason or another don't have 2000 points amassed. Is there any other way of getting tickets if you don't meet the points criteria?

You can nominate games which you'd like to go to that otherwise might not have the points for or something like that.

I am back in the UK for a week at the end of February and would be so so grateful if anyone can help with 2 tickets for West Brom. A Brummy mate offered me tickets in the home section, I would rather eat Pulis's pants! Please PM me if you can help (with the tickets not the pants). Thank you.
Most certainly not European. |
