Joel ward - last man standing from the championship.

We should have had a sweepstake after Philips slotted home that pen. Still, who really thought we would still be here?

The idea that Shelvey, who can't get a game for Swansea, is a better player than Jimmy Mac is one I can't agree with.

If he came here I don't think he would be any more than a squad player. Cabaye/Macarthur is a strong partnership in the middle.

My money would be on Zaha - Or does he not count because he has gone and come back.

Delaney is still a regular too but I don't think he has time on his side.

To think Bolasie didn't even get on the field seems shocking now.

I think a fully fit first team from what we already have is stronger than any of the suggestions made and as Pardew said himself why would he want to bring in players that werent a step up from the current squad. Would like to see shelvey for sure but there is no way caulker and van dijk are an improvement on Damo. Especially based on the form the three have been showing of late. Maybe ones for the future but wouldnt like to see em ahead of him just yet.
