Stand by what I say, we are no worse now than we were under Pardew. The season we finished 5th was the luckiest season of football I have ever witnessed a team play. A side carried by individual brilliance. We were poor in a lot of games and scraped 1-0's or 2-1's that season. Since then, under Pardew, we weren't even half of what you's are now under him. Not to blame Pardew entirely, as I said - there's many things wrong with our club and factors that play into our problems. But how do you defend flirting with relegation every season - which we did. You've pointed out our league positions, however each of those seasons we've been right in the thick of it towards the end of the season, and just pulled ourselves out of it - or had other teams do it for us. We were relegation candidates most of Pardews reign, that is a fact. Apart from beating;Black ,Bolton,Chelsea and Swansea all 2=0; Stoke and WBA both 3-1 ,All away games! Blackburn 3-1; Bolton and Liverpool 2-0; Man. Ure and Stoke3-0; At home! Plus of course 8 other games that you only "scrapped" wins by the odd goal! Good luck for the rest of the season tho' and hopefully Schteve can exorcise the spectre of Pardew! Ollie's Dad,Ash. Edited by OllieMaidstoneEagle (29 Nov 2015 5.43pm)

I can't understand how Newcastle fans repeatedly attempt to justify the sacking of pardew. Pardew wasn't sacked. We paid compensation for him.

I'll be off, good luck to you's and I genuinely hope your good fortunes continue. Great set of fans and some exciting players, with a manager who suits where you's are as a club very well.

Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

Sat only a few seats away from the Toon on Saturday. They celebrated like they'd won the FA Cup when they scored (fair enough) and then were very vocal. As soon as it was 1-1 they looked like a kid who'd unwrapped a trainset shaped Christmas present to find it was an extra large box of brussel sprouts. Once or twice I felt sorry for them and went to applaud them for their efforts in supporting their team, but ultimately they spent WAY too much time on their players' backs and I just felt their negativity expressed during the 90 minutes helped no one. There are problems at that club, I could genuinely say "Who?" to virtually every name read out from their team sheet, their manager is a pile of w**k and their owner is a prat but to turn so quickly on the team you were singing about 4 minutes ago was just a bit sad to see. I will add though that I don't have a lot against them. If they stay up they stay up, I'm not wishing relegation on them (although last season I thought it'd be amusing after they'd been so vocal about Pardew).

I think we need to stop referring to them as "deluded" because this one clearly isn't. Attachment: Not deluded.png (43.01Kb)
