No striker is going to make a sod of diffeence if they do not get the service they need. We watched Murray's frustration with Wilf and Campbell's frustration on Saturday. Gayle was left chasing shadows and all them have had us on their back for not producing miracles.
Wickham will have the same problem no matter that he is clearly a good striker. All of the above are good strikers but they are not getting the service they need from the wings or central midfield play makers. Cabaye should be having more of an impact in that respect but is not getting forward enough.

Maybe we need to bring in a defensive midfielder to sit in front of the back four to allow Cabaye the licence to operate further forward and influence the game more in the final third.Food for thought ?

We have Ledley and Jedinak who are more than capable in that position. The last thing we need is more central midfield players. I don't think we solve the no10 problem by pushing Cabaye up there, I'd be more inclined to look for a new one as Punch is not proving to be as effective there as last season.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

At least one wide player who has a high number of assists. A player that can not only beat a player but hold on to it and find his man at least 70% of the time. If we can get that we'll take a big step forward...

I also think the way things are going at Chelski we could put a cheeky bid in for the likes of Fabregas; not in expectation of getting him but to show 'intent'.

Not sure spending money is the answer. Start getting into a situation when we start putting the clubs financial health at risk

consilidate, and hope our strikers can get themselves fit. Theres no need to panic.

the risk of the club is getting relegated and missing out on the payday with the new money. 2M per loss also adds up. so you finish 9th versus 16th, you're looking at 16M loss just there alone. stay up and the payday next year doubles that per place.

I'd like to see us go for someone like Breel Embolo who has been linked with Everton. I think we could compete with them in terms of attracting a player and at 18/19 he's not going to be going to a top 4 team yet.

He's the kind of player that, a bit like Benteke or Bony, is a gamble but one that could really pay off.

Neither Campbell or Gayle are particularly suited to The Premiership with the former especially the case. Cash in as much as we can and aim for Remy and prepare KaiKai for a chance in First XI - at least he can hit a barn door!

So can Gayle against Championship sides, it's completely different when up against Prem defences. Both Campbell and Gayle would score 25+ in League 1

I'd absolutely love us to take a shot at Khouma Babacar or Islam Slimani

Our Strikers need to be given a chance.
VARDY (Leicester) has done OK.Not so long ago he was NON LEAGUE.
Personaly I would have kept FFS.
And not signed MUTCH or Chung-Yong, Lee.
Not sure what they add other than putting pressure on the first 11.
