whys it gotta be palace beating people off? I know what you mean but in this case probably because we were in there first. I read somewhere that a second bid from Palace was imminent but don't know what the outcome is?

Thanks for that Gambler, I love all the Willoism's here's another. In 1923, jockey Frank Hayes won a race at Belmont Park in New York despite being dead — he suffered a heart attack mid-race, but his body stayed in the saddle until his horse crossed the line for a 20–1 outsider victory. Nice try Jim, but lacking in banality to be considered a true Willoism. Hogwash
