I was there in the Holmesdale with my big sister,i was 13 and remember
Someone spitting at the programme seller.

The programme seller turned round and spat back but gobbed all over my jumper.

What a night 2-0 and remember running on the pitch

Was in the main stand.I was working in purley way and left early. Think I was in the ground about 5.30/6.Remember saying to my mate Dave Mearns about all the new faces around us.We always tried to get right behind the dugouts but couldn't get near them that day.I can still remember thinking " we are going to go up as champions"
The roar when the players came out in the stand after the match was unbelievable.
This and the Liverpool semi are the 2 greatest memories for me

I was 14 and all us younger ones used to file down to the front of the Holmesdale for each game.
This match however I couldn't make it down to the front, as it was so busy so sat on those metal loops with my dad holding me up.
Can remember very little about the match, so thanks for the reminders everyone.

Great pic.

I've got a blown up copy on canvas of Hy Moneys picture from that game which is on the cover of We All Follow The Palace and inside the cover of Hy On Palace.

My son had it done for me as I can clearly see myself and 2 of my old mates who I went with to that game.

Great memories.

I was up the top near the back, funnily we couldn't get to our usual spot a bit further down and more central. great night. spent the rest of the night celebrating in Jerry Murphy's uncle's pub a fair amount of alcohol was consumed

You could feel the anticipation throughout the game

I was 15 and with my dad in the Main Stand. He left me behind after the game to celebrate and I had to walk all the way home, but little did I care.

Watched every home game the previous season and went off to univ in Bristol.
Saw the B team draw at Ashton Gate and on the day of the Burnley game made the trek up.
Couldn't get in. Gutted. No amount of pleading could get me into the ground.
Stayed outside with around 2,000 others who couldn't get in. Found a spot where I could see one of the corner flags, so very little.
10 mins from time they opened the gates for prople to leave - yeah right!
nO ONE LEFT AND ME AND 1,999 others piled in and caught Swindlehurst's clincher and the celebrations.
Kinda made up for it and add 2,000 to the official attendance.
