I see norwich are interested. In all fairness can't say I would be to bothered about him at palace. As people say he won't do any better than Murray. I think what we have is enough and let's see come January and if needs be it can be looked at. Just feel Murray needs a chance to show us what he can do.

If it was just the 4m, then yes, but I expect he's looking for 2-4 years on a 50k contract, or an amazing pay day deal for a single season.

No. If he was 27, maybe, but Murray has proved he can score goals in the Premier League. Why would we bring in someone to sit on the bench. We're not in Europe. I think we have a decent and solid squad to not be in a relegation battle, but to also fight for top 10.

£4m is way too much for a 34 year old. 1 season out of him at most, then we'll be looking to progress and we'd still have him on our books as he won't accept a one year deal. Would take him on loan though.

We don't need Lambert. He might do a Sheringham and play for another 5-6 years but somehow I doubt it. His best is behind him and we've already got a better, younger version in Murray. If it's a mentor we want for Bamford, you could not ask for a better one than Murray. The one thing he clearly still has in his locker - post-cruciate - is centre forward nous. The way he played against Man City last season (or away at Sunderland and West Ham) showed just what a bright footballer he is.
