Surprised nobody's mentioned "the flying frog" Cantona.

I don't remember the exact details but Chris Morgan was deliberately elbowed in the face at a corner and kept his cool. When interviewed on TV afterwards he calmly said it was just one of those things, rather like the mafia don who tells you not to worry.

I suspect Chris had a little black book and if I was that player I would be unavailable the next time they played Sheffield United.

Faustino Asprilla

Absolutely off his trolley. Complete nutter a la Mike Tyson

And...
Nearly took my sons head off with a shot just over the bar into the Holmesdale

Also,
Was at a black tie do in Newcastle and then saw him at a night club later. Tried to talk to him but his English was s***. He pointed out the 3 ladies he wanted and his fixer ushered them into his Limo, Adios

When they kick out your front door. How you gonna come ?

Roy Keane got nutted at the Emirates

Sounds like the title of a song.

and 'Delusions of Grandeur' is another red-flag for a Psychopath.

Does Gary Lineker believe himself bigger than the BBC ? and indeed, worthy of the top job at 10 Downing Street ?

Keane's OK - the bloke who nutted him has a broken nose.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Duncan Ferguson should be on the list-thug and nutjob

Duncan,...with bells on.
Ferguson's aggressive style of play resulted in a career total of nine red cards, as well as a three-month prison sentence following an on-field assault of Raith Rovers' John McStay in 1994
Ferguson has had four convictions for assault – two arising from taxi rank scuffles,[3] one an altercation with a fisherman in a pub,[3] and one for his assault on John McStay.
In 2001, two burglars broke into Ferguson's home in Rufford, Lancashire. Ferguson confronted them and was able to detain one of them, who subsequently spent three days in hospital.[
In January 2003, Ferguson caught another burglar at his home in Formby, Merseyside; the burglar attacked Ferguson, who retaliated. The burglar was hospitalised.

You deserve everything you get, if you choose to break into DF's house.

Billy Whitehurst. Both Vinnie Jones and Razor Ruddock have said they were terrified of him. He caused mayhem off the pitch as well.

Great shout I remember it kicked off in the opposition's half him running from left back around the pitch and punching someone laying them out while the ref was looking the other way, he then strolled back to his position turned to the crowd with a big smile and punched the air.
