So your saying the youth in London is predominantly Black, hence thats why the levels of Knife crime by Black Youths is disproportionate In London.

Your post insinuated at best, and outright claimed at worst that areas that have a higher percenatge of black youths have higher knife crime, which is not a million miles away from what the original poster was saying.

His choice of delivery left a lot be desired, but the sentiment at the base of his crude claim (essentially that knife crime is a particular problem in certain black youth cultures) is true, work in casualty on a friday or saturday night in Mayday (as I have on security) on you will see all the proof you need.

London does have a problem with young black lads stabbing each other, as for other areas of the UK... i'm not so sure, I've never really lived there, so have little interest.
I remember watching 24hours in A&E, and a African doctor did a plea to the young black people of London to stop carrying knives. He was sick of seeing young black lads being stabbed.
I almost think it is racist not to discuss it.
Things in life change... years ago it was skinheads, then mods... now it's young black lads, who knows... in 20 years time it might be Turks/Poles/Indians, but for now it is young black guys, so lets not be too scared to discuss it, and leave it to the far right to push their agenda.

I agree, anyone who uses a knife with intent to injure should be done for attempted murder.

My point is that knife crime IS a major problem among black youths. You even have local black community leaders pleading for it to stop.

Why is it a particular problem with young black men, I don't know but to ignore that it is a problem is more burrying head in the sand, just in case you get called a racist for insinuating such a thing, mean while London Hospitals are full of young black men who have been stabbed.

Is there a link between poorer areas and knife crime, I have no proof of course, but I would suggest there is, for example you don't see many stabbings in Belgravia compared to say Tower Hamlets, it may just be a by product of low wages and unemployment are higher amongst black youths and subsequently the knife crime stats are higher.

But on the flip side, there are poor areas that are predomantly white in Manchester ( I use this as an example because I lived up there for 4 years,) that has virtually no knife crime at all.

Who knows, but onething is for sure, knife crime is higher amongst black youths in London.
