Two dismal performances,

I call them disgraceful and 'Diabolical' and the players should be utterly ashamed. We have sunk to the depths.

How Downton and co justify their positions or money I just can't say.

The ECB are wholly responsible for destroying the meaningful participation of youngsters in the male game.....The one that actually brings home the bacon.......They were warned about short termism when they destroyed free to air......Now the chickens have come home to roost.......We have an English cricket team full of public school boys and qualified foreigners and the average lad at secondary school doesn't know their names......Hence we have a vastly less proportion of future players to pick from.
Well done ECB.....You increased your own pay packets while hamstringing the cricket team.

AATOT.

How can you go into a world cup, in familiar conditions, and not have your team decided for the first game?

Hales, Stokes and KP should all be in the side and Anderson is the only one of the bowling unit up to scratch.

Optimistic as ever

Finn 49 off 2 overs - the equivalent of every ball going for a boundary + 1. As the England women are out there, why don't they give them a game against scotland

Quote 01CPFC at 20 Feb 2015 4.40am

Ridiculous umpires stopped game for Lunch

Broad 1 over 0-18
Finn 2 overs 0-49
Anderson 5 overs 0-37
Woakes 1 over 1-4

Why would they stop for lunch?

England absolutely smashed

RIP ENGLISH CRICKET

Ridiculous umpires stopped game for Lunch

England were expected to be beaten by Australia and New Zealand in their own back yards, it's not a surprise. Losing our next 3 would be catastrophic though and worthy of the bulls*** frenzy i've seen on TV and heard on the BBc.

I refuse to believe there are that many people out there that can't spell. Too f**king lazy, that's what I think.

I think we need to lose all of them to get the type of shake up the ECB needs.

Even that I doubt will be enough.

Whilst what you're saying is true, the manner of the NZ defeat was disgraceful. I'm so glad I was on the booze all day so didn't stay awake for it.

At the end of the day though, it's still two losses that we were expecting to start with and a string of wins now could see our tournament turn right around with players gaining confidence and momentum with the bat. As I said after the AUS defeat (which wasn't that bad apart from the fielding), let's see how we fare against the rest of our group before going OTT.
