Jeremy Guscott to pop up with the winner in the last minute.

Bet he's "popped up" for you a few times.

Don't believe the hype around Ireland - they are incredibly poor in the scrum and, if anyone notices, they are in for a tough time. They are also error prone but get lucky with the ref in nearly every match.
Agree with the sentiments that England have a tough game tonight - only due to injuries really. A fully fit and first team England squad would beat Wales. Have to think that game is Wales' to lose.
Italy won't be the pushovers that Ireland think they are - they have an outhalf who can kick now and if Ireland get up to their usual shenanigans and the ref notices they could be in for a hard time.
I think Scotland may improve this year but then again think that every year.
No-one will do a slam this year although I reckon a fully fit England could have done. Wales or Ireland to win overall with England second on points difference or something equally petty.
Hope the refs have a good tournament because I find the inconsistency almost as annoying as the decisions that go against us on an almost weekly basis.

I'm not very confident regarding Wales. Having watched the regions in the Pro-12 they have been very disappointing. I think it will be close this evening and could go either way. England have a large pool of talented players to pick from so I don't think having some players out injured will make as big a difference as some think it will. I don't think I've heard of the ref tonight which I suppose could be a good or bad thing.

My outsiders are Scotland but I think Ireland will win the Championship.

All Wales so far and England, like 2 years ago look like rabbits in headlights

johnny May...my bete noir of the England side so far has gifted 3 and come inside when he should have dtayed out and gifted a convered try

Real liability

England can get back in here though. Just need to get at the Welsh a little more and put some pressure on

quick one on the ref as well..Garces is f***ing dreadful. One of the most bizarre and terrible reffing performances I have ever seen was by him in the Wasps v Leinster game the other week. ..be prepared for cock ups and strange calls all day long

What a good game of rugby...Second half English performance was excellent.

James Haskell was brilliant and the young inexperienced players did fantastically well.

great curtain raiser

Good match to watch. A bit tense in the second half but Wales didn't offer much other than plan A.

Only just in from watching the match with some of my neighbours and have to say although I think Wales shaded the first half I think England totally dominated the second half and fully deserved the win.

I'm not sure what they were saying that Wales are totally concentrating and gearing up training wise for the World Cup is true and, if it is, whether it is sensible.

Wales still insist on that crash, bang, wallop approach far too much don't they ? Once England got on top of it Wales just couldn't do anything else.

I thought Wales would win tonight based on England's inexperience at 10, 12 and 13 but all of them played like veterans.

I still fancy Ireland for the lot but its all going to be tight. Looking forward to France v Scotland tomorrow.

hope the Scots can put in a shift
