Sweet.

A "real" DanH v "nominal" Stuk showdown. Not had one of those in ages.

Edited by Johnny Eagles (04 Feb 2015 3.43pm)

If this was a fight card, DanH v anybody would be first on though.

sydtheeagle v Matt_Himself would be the headliner.

Maybe a pay per view thread could net the Hol more revenue?

It'd be a split deal. Dan gets the purse, I get the money.

If Syd wants a 'rumble in the jungle', my agent's phone is on. We will listen to offers.

It won't come cheap, though.

"Baby boom" Really! I thought the fact we urgently require more schools was due to an unfettered open door immigration policy that has failed the people of this country for decades. You’re hard pushed to find any English kids left in the schools of Croydon. Please Nick, say it how it is and don’t try and blame school shortages on a baby boom lol

Quote nickgusset at 04 Feb 2015 12.38pm

Yeah right... I'm sure that school budgets are staying the same (a real terms cut) but no one has factored in the fact that the school roll is set to rise dramatically due to a baby boom a few years back.
Good to see whilst budgets are frozen or slashed that Gideon's spin doctor has an 11percent pay rise.

Never mind the fact that of all the children doing GCSEs in Croydon last year nearly 78% speak English as their first language. Or that White British pupils alone made up 76% of GCSE students in England this year.

Wouldn't want facts to get in the way of a good rant would we.

That you saying that finding an English kid in a school in Croydon is hard is completely untrue.

OknotOK - Do you have any children and if so where do they school? I have three kids who school in the area and I’m telling you, in certain schools it is hard to find any English kids and that's a fact. Croydon covers a large area and sure out in the leafy suburbs it will be predominantly English kids but in the centre of town there are hardly any English kids anymore.
Going back to my original point - this, and not any so called baby boom, is why there is a massive school shortage.

Yes I have two girls (only one at school age). And in her class I can't point to a single child that is not British born. There might be one - I don't know the parents well - but that is the maximum.

And the stats show that White British children are the huge huge huge majority of students.

Immigration has contributed to the shortage of schools places. As has an explosion in the population rate (which is also partly a product of the increased immigration). But the children are mostly English/British born so would fit my definition of English/British.

Cameron wants to ringfence subsidies for state school employees, er, I mean funds for helping "Hardworking Children" from "Up and Down the Country".

[Link]

Obviously, this means that we can forget actually having any ships, planes or soldiers to defend the country. And Welfare and local government will face even steeper cuts.

But that's ok, because Gusset will get to keep his lovely pension.

Not such a cund after all?

Or, we cut the defence budget completely, increase spending on education and then maybe there won't be so many school leavers whose only job prospect is to join the army...

Ask me about Ronald de Boer.
