When it comes to the Rams, Willo, waddon doesn`t need filling in on any of their history. He is devoted to the cause.

Rams Defeat by Only Goal
by

It was a disappointing performance for the Rams as they slumped to defeat by the only goal of the game coming in the 29th minute.

Goalkeeper Daniel Burnett had certainly been the busiest of the two as he was called into action to stop the home side going into the lead. The goal came from a breakaway with the defenders appealing for offside in vain the ball was slipped into the net after the Burnett was rounded.

The Rams seemed to find it difficult to get into any rhythm and unlike against Chessingto where they created plenty of chances they were unable to put together any real chances in the final third of the field. The CB Hounslow defence were solid and gave no time on the ball and having scored the goal were determined not to let the points slip away.

The best chance for the Rams came very late in the game through a free kick. Terry Lineker stepped up and curled the ball over the wall but the Hounslow goalkeeper pulled off an excellent save (pictured) to ensure all the points stay in west London.

With a difficult trip to play Erith & Belvedere next week in the FA Cup the management will be keep to have got this performance out of the way.

Won't be there as i will be North of the Thames, but COYR,

In 287 days two teams will contest the FA Cup Final beneath the arch at Wembley stadium but tomorrow the competition actually gets underway.

Match Preview - 03
The Rams travel to Erith & Belvedere of Southern Counties East League in the Extra Preliminary Round, just 13 wins away from that Final!

The Deres have had a good start to their season having been relegated from the Ryman League last year. Their two matches have produced two wins and 9 goals as they sit joint top of the fledgling table. Striker Alfie May hit a brace of goals in midweek to add to the 5 he scored last Saturday so he certainly goes into the game in top form and full of confidence.

For the Rams they will want to put last week's performance and result behind them as they went down to the odd goal and will be looking to secure the victory at the first attempt.

The winners will entertain Folkestone Invicta in the next round in what promises to be an exciting tie so there is plenty to play for.

It promises to be a nice day tomorrow with temperatures getting up to around 21 degrees in time for kick-off with a glimpse of the sun between the clouds. No rain is predicted and a light westerly breeze will make for perfect conditions.

If the match ends in a draw then the replay will take place on Wednesday 20th August at Colliers Wood United.

Does Croydon Athletic descend from Croydon Amatuers ?
Used to watch them around 1960.
Had a brilliant centre forward named Dennis Harkness...anybody remember

No bryne, Croydon FC are the old Croydon Amateurs.

They ply their trade in the premier division of The Southern Counties East Football League.

Is this a five minute argument, or the full half hour? [Link]
