George Graham has stuck in my mind for the unpleasant way that he refused to sign an autograph for my son....plus he signed Ian Wright for Arsenal.

Shhh! Having lived around that area for large chunks of my life and having some good mates(thick as $hit but good mates) who put up with me being an 'Alice', I have developed a soft spot for them. It's not a bad club but some of it's supporters should have been put down at birth. Their fan sites are a hoot!

My favourite all time player is Sir Billy of Gilbert, but really I should hate him, me and a mate stepped in front of his car when we were kids to try and stop him for an autograph as he was pulling in from Whitehorse lane, this caused him to hit the brakes a bit hard, but he beckoned us round to his window and as we trotted round all excited, he said. 'Why don't you two silly sods fcuk off' and he drove off!!! At least my hero spoke to me

Might be blasphemy to some, but I never liked or rated Simon Rodger. He had a decent cross on him and would at least harrey the opposition, but always saw him as a very one dimensional uninspiring player. Slowed down moves, nevr seemed to get the ball down and play quick short passes. Wasn't there some sort of s***storm about him refusing to play during admin, walking out only to find no other club would have him, before coming back with his tail between his legs?

Clinton Morrison for me Spent 88 minutes of a game standing offside and when the ball would come to him would look ruefully skywards with that half smirk face as the flag went up He used to drive me nuts

Gareth Southgate. He reminded me of a prefect at Purley Boys. Somehow he didn't fit the bill of a proper Palace player. Too nice maybe? A bit smug? His performances were consistently good but he was a bit of a girl's blouse. Me and my Dad bumped into him in a bar just after he'd left us to join Villa. Again, he was perfectly polite. It's just that.....he wasn't Palace enough! And then when he missed the penalty for England... well it just all began to make sense.
