I suspect it could be incorporated by way of architect's "impression" of the old Crystal Palace but in a modern ground format. This. A good architect would be needed though. Wouldn't want the stadium to look tacky as result of trying to give heritage a The design for such a façade could have easily been an 'open to all' competition. Local schools, Colleges, community, the fans etc etc. A simple competition- Here's the original Crystal Palace, design a modern one. Let the architects put the final touches/streamlining in place and Bob's your uncle Shame it won't happen though

this, always thought a redeveloped main stand should resemble the old crystal palace from the front, would be devastated if we ended up with something that resembles millwalls or any of the other stadiums with no identity.

Croydon's profile is much higher from having a Premier League team in the borough and a Premier League team with a knackered old stadium isn't going to stay in the PL for long, particularly if TP gets p*issed off and leaves.

When Steve Parish is roaming around with his fine feathered friends he one day may stumble on somebody who might just build a stadium for us and lease it back for 100 years. We certainly would not see the end of that lease but we would have a long time in which to enjoy the new surroundings. Lets hope so anyway!.
