I would prefer tyo avoid newly promoted teams early on. Let them play a few games and have the bounce knocked out of them. In some ways it is useful to get some of the big away games to the top 5 teams out of the way early on.

This has been a fantastic season, beyond what I even dreamed of. Next season we start from 0 points agian, teams will know a bit more about us and not expect just to roll us over making it tougher. On the reserve of that Selhurst is getting the rep as a hard place to go and TP is a manager who oppos think will make it a very tough game. We go into the summer in boyant mood. TP and Moody know how to work the market, with a bit of extra cash they could make some important sigings. For me the first target is 40 points then worry about where we finish. Same as this season would again be amazing.

Listening to talksport yesterday they were talking about finances and how every team got a guaranteed 52 million then there was a lot of extra cash for live tv appearances. I think we definately benefited financially in playing city and liverpool in the last few games, however playing top teams when you are still scrapping for points at the bottom can be worrying.

it would be nice to have an end of season run-in like the arse had this year, with 5 games in a row against teams in the bottom half of the table and three of those at home.

Never think about it and never worry about it - the fixture list will be what it is. Anyway we have to play all the teams in the league twice regardless of the order they come in. In some ways it will be even harder second time around but in others somewhat easier - we will not spend ten games adjusting to the league that's for sure. Teams will certainly NOT have us figured out. how we played was based on the players TP had at his disposal and see how much we have changed since acquiring Ledley and Dann. Another four first team players and a slight change of style will make us a different proposition. I hate the break between seasons - so frustrating!!

We don't have to play as well under TP next season to get the same number of points because he has the whole season to do it. Our squad will be sensibly strengthened and we wills tart the season with a squad that has belief - there aren't many teams who would have the belief to fight back against Liverpool from 3-0 down and the fact we have done it will see the squad have a confidence that won't be knocked easily - even if we start poorly. Teams may not underestimate us as much but it doesn't really change a lot because we will continue to defend well - perhaps better than last season as we will strengthen the squad and have more TP time pre-season and we will continue to be difficult on the break. It is hard to adapt to and a lot of teams will struggle at fortress Selhurst. I think the best thing of all is we got to where we got last season without a real goal scorer. Gayle racked up a fair few but we had already got to 40 by then. Gayle is clearly being developed well and FFS will hopefully find his form - we had a glimpse of how well they could play together in our last home game and add in a good summer signing and we have a seriously promising side with a lot of quick confident young players. It will be a tough season but I have every confidence in us avoiding the relegation battle.

I think it will be tougher next season, Leicester have money behind them and if QPR make it they will throw crazy money at it so that only leaves Burnley as potential whipping boys. Saints could.. I have problems with the manager possibly being off along with their star players. Hull could possibly struggle if the owner walks away but thankfully we've got TP in our dugout which is vital. I think this recent season was remarkably tough and tight for so long, at both ends of the table. Cardiff were the only promoted team to be in serious relegation trouble. Who would expected so many 'drop points' games by the top four, and that Fulham and Norwich would be relegated. Hopefully QPR won't be involved.

Put it this way if our last 4 games are something like Chelsea A I would be worried Would be nice to start with a good mix, something like Stoke H Potential points against three 'strands' of teams Top/ Middle and Bottom and would be a good yardtsick to judge where we may fit in Edited by The Sash (16 May 2014 1.13pm)

As detailed above, I don't think it matters much unless you have a clump of very hard games at a key time, IE Norwich's run in this season. We believe, and get behind the team, and what will be will be. We know we have the management and personnel to stay up, so the question of whether or not they are good enough can be removed. Impact of new signings however, can be debated. In terms of fixtures, don't think it matters apart from the most extreme/unfortunate circumstances.
