He's certainly got ssome power in his chest muscles. Do they work on that sort of thing in training or is it just instinct?

It's fantastic technique and perfect application, however at the risk of going all MOTD, where the f*** is the defending? No one picks up Murray, then the cb gets caught in two minds and goes for him, leaving Gayle (who he had been marking) free.

Not to detract from the chaps, but if that was palace defending id be well and truly pissed off!!

Murray and Gayle can only play against what they up against, ie a team of top internationals looking to tie up the title and 3 goals up. That in fact was the defending, for good or bad, and our boys done well. Don't over read the situation. Worse still, stop sounding like CARAGHER and his mates, Believe this, Palace are good and next season the truth will out. I'm confident.

As it happens, few goals are scored in situations where the defence is not to blame.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the totally f*cking brilliant bit of improvisation by Glenn for the equaliser. He knew he couldn't head it as it would have gone through to the keeper so he had to cushion it and also twist his upper body to direct it into Dwight's path. It was as good as scoring the goal himself. There are lots of instances of players chesting down for a team mate to score but this was different class.

TOTALLY agree

The defenders only made the mistake because of Gayle and Murrays movement. They forced the centre back to close murray down which allowed Gayle to slip in between. But because they timed it so well it meant murray had time to get the pass/chest down to gayle and then it was too late for the centre back to track back. Brilliant play and even better execution

It is fantastic, and a great sign of what can come from the pair. I still think a title winning defense shd have someone on Murray tho, he's totally free!!!

Trevor Aylott would have been proud of that lay off.

Can't see Wilbraham getting a look-in v Fulham now, but would like to see him play some part in the match.

Big Trev would have produced his usual deft touch and chested it out for a throw in somewhere around row X.
