I've joined from a Liverpool site (kopblocks.com) - we're a fairly newish forum that's only been going for a few months. One of the things we've tried to get going is a 'View From That Lot' feature where we get the opinion of whoever our opposition for that week is. Obviously we're facing Palace at the weekend so if you've got a few minutes and don't mind asking a few questions I'd appreciate it!

1. You've made an impressive recovery from a terrible start to the season and already guaranteed your safety - do you think you can consolidate in the Premier League next season or will it be a case of a second season struggle? Mid-table respectability with a very outside shot at a Europa league place.

2. I've not seen much of Palace this season (outside of occasional Match of the Day highlights) - Tony Pulis got a reputation for being a bit 'agricultural' at Stoke but how has he had Palace playing since he came to you? Like any good manager, Tony P's tactics have been to use the player's best talents, which on this team is overall pace. The style is to move together as one forward and back with wide play being the key.

3. As it's football's awards season - who are Palace's Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year? POY-Speroni, YPOY Bolassie

4. Who do you see as being Palace's main threats to Liverpool? Wing play from Bolassie, Ward on the overlap with creative approach and finishing from Puncheon.

5. What are your best and worst memories of Palace vs Liverpool over the years? Having stood on the Holte End for the '90 Cup Semi, nothing is better than that. A absolute blinder of a match, L'pool supporters were great afterwards. I have enjoyed every Palace Liverpool match I've seen because you have such smashing good supporters. Besides, I'm also a Boston Red Sox fan and our owners bought LFC.

6. When I was a kid (80s/early 90s) Palace seemed to have loads of players who ended up moving on and making big careers for themselves at some big clubs (Ian Wright's the obvious one but you seemed to have quite a conveyor belt for a while). If you could get one of your ex-players back in the Palace squad and in their prime today who would you pick and what would they add to today's side? I started watching Palace in '89, so my era was Wright, Bright, Gray, Thomas, Salako, Eric the Ninja, Thorn & Martyn.

7. What have you made of Liverpool this season? Absolutely fantastic season, hope you take the league but I still want a Palace win on Monday. A draw wouldn't be the worst thing either.

8. If you could take any of Liverpool's players for Palace and dump your worst player onto us, who'd be packing their bags and filling the Bugatti's tank for the trips along the M6? Although you have younger players, Gerrard is the class of the Liverpool squad. I would love him for his veteran leadership and 100% commitment.

9. Finally, predictions for Monday night? I predicted a 3-2 (1-0) Palace win on HOL's Prediction League so I'll stick with that.

I think we will be ok next season but I just hope the fans don't start whinging and keep up the terrific support of the last few years.

I've not seen much of Palace this season (outside of occasional Match of the Day highlights) - Tony Pulis got a reputation for being a bit 'agricultural' at Stoke but how has he had Palace playing since he came to you? He gets us the points we need and does a job. I'm sure you would've heard/seen what we did at Goodison - that was no means as simple as "parking the bus"

3. As it's football's awards season - who are Palace's Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year?Has to be Joel Ward for both but it feels wrong Speroni not getting a mention too.

4. Who do you see as being Palace's main threats to Liverpool?Puncheon, Chamakh + Bolasie

5. What are your best and worst memories of Palace vs Liverpool over the years?I'm still young so my memories go back to the league cup "worthington cup" it was at the time - 2-1 home win and then come to you lot and lost 5-0 and even Igor Biscan scored a goal - awful night

If you could get one of your ex-players back in the Palace squad and in their prime today who would you pick and what would they add to today's side?People like to forget Wilf easily because he hasn't done great since he left but he was the most exciting talent I have ever seen at Selhurst and that includes the likes of Victor Moses etc. he was breathtaking at times last season

7. What have you made of Liverpool this season?Whether the rest of the board love it or hate it, Liverpool have always been my second team (when I used to play up front as little boy, I was always compared to Michael Owen, kinda took off from there) I think to keep me emotionally stable, I had to have a succesful team I followed whilst still devoting my complete support to Palace. I said you would be a force this season but never expected you to be in the position you were in. I thought Suarez was the best in the league last season anyway so wasn't surprised at his performances this year (although he has been out of this f***ing world). The only problem you have is you are a little one dimensional - you can play football as good as anyone in the world at the moment but when it comes to sitting back, breaking down teams and grinding out results - you struggle, and it could weel be costly for you lot this season.

8. If you could take any of Liverpool's players for Palace and dump your worst player onto us, who'd be packing their bags and filling the Bugatti's tank for the trips along the M6? Luis Suarez would be in for Aaron Wilbraham

9. Finally, predictions for Monday night? Difficult to predict this one but I think you might struggle

Very much so. We had enough wit to use the January window to consolidate on our turnaround in November and December and with shrewd leaders in both the boardroom and the manager's office, I'm quite sure we'll consolidate on our second half improvement this season during the summer window. I look for a solid 9th-14 place finish next year.

2. I've not seen much of Palace this season (outside of occasional Match of the Day highlights) - Tony Pulis got a reputation for being a bit 'agricultural' at Stoke but how has he had Palace playing since he came to you?

Intelligently, given our resources. We defend in numbers and use a couple of highly competent midfield ball winners (Jedinak, Dikgakoi) to break up the opposition's play and spring our two wide men (Bolasie and Puncheon) who then use their considerable speed to counter attack. We are stout at the back to be sure but not agricultural and though we rarely have the possession to attack in waves, when breaking at speed we can be a joy to watch and we cause other teams problems. Net year, I expect to take another step forward and play a similar style but with more possession.

3. As it's football's awards season - who are Palace's Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year?

POTY would be Speroni or Jedinak; take your pick. YPOTY would be Ward if you think he's "young" (which is debatable in my book.)

4. Who do you see as being Palace's main threats to Liverpool?

I don't think we threaten in the deliberate manner you suggest, and in the way -- say -- that you rely on Suarez who in turn is clearly your biggest threat. We don't really threaten on an individual level: our main threat is team speed on the counter attack. If I had to name a player, Puncheon for his eye for goal allied to his speed and Bolasie, who until last week appeared to be rounding into form.

5. What are your best and worst memories of Palace vs Liverpool over the years?

Do you really need to ask for either? Clue: same season, about six month's apart. The 2-3 League Cup game in the 70s when Doris put us 1-0 up with a piledriver from 30 yards out before Keegan and co. responded with three is another fond memory of mine.

Well, we lack two things now. A left back, and we produced arguably the best English one of those in history: Kenny Sansom. So he'd be in with a shout. And a goalscorer, and you'd really have to go with Ian Wright there although we've had a few good ones over the years (Trevor Aylott comes to mind. Not.) But even though we have a great keeper, the answer is John Jackson simply because he's the best footballer to ever walk the face of the earth. Late 60s early 70s, in case you were wondering. Some say God...

7. What have you made of Liverpool this season?

Impressive on the pitch. If Brendan Rogers was chocolate, he'd eat himself and I really don't warm to him personally for that reason. But he's a damn good manager. I spent the better part of half a decade in Boston so I am deeply familiar with John Henry, the Red Sox and FSG. When they bought Liverpool I spent a lot of time re-assuring fans of yours in my orbit that they needn't worry; they were in good hands. And so it's proved. Basically, in a perfect world we'd thrash you Monday night but you'd win the league the following week. And if you hadn't folded against Chelsea, it might have happened that way, too!

8. If you could take any of Liverpool's players for Palace and dump your worst player onto us, who'd be packing their bags and filling the Bugatti's tank for the trips along the M6?

One of yours? Let me think...name begins with an "s" and it ain't Sturridge or Skrtel (though to be fair, I'd have the latter's wife.) As for who you can have in return, you'll need a replacement for Suarez so it seems only fair to offer you Aaron Wilbraham. And before you start complaining, a few weeks ago it'd have been Eliot Grandin so things are definitely moving in the right direction for you.

9. Finally, predictions for Monday night?

Hot chocolate before bed, sex if I'm lucky and I get in at a decent hour, and 1-1.
