Didnt go but on 5 sounded non stop, the com team couldnt say enough good things about the support.

May have been poor by palace standards, but compared the rest of the pl way out in front.

Today was poor, the early goal didn't help. It's been a long old season and I think today was a bit of an anticlimax mixed with relief.

Loved the 'we're proud of you' chant, the boys deserved it.

Mid table apathy !
I see so many people come and stand in the aisle between block B and C , I presume to soak up the atmosphere, but don't actually contribute to any singing. Piss*s me off. Atmosphere is in real danger of being watered down.
As a side note, I hate "stand up if you love Palace", nine times out of ten it ends up in embarrassment !

Anyone got any photos of the Fanatics display?

It didn't help that thousands of us left the game early. I wonder how that makes the players feel to see everyone streaming out of the stadium 5 minutes before the whistle?

I'm tough. I'm ambitious. I know exactly what I want. If that makes me a bitch, I'm OK with that.

There was nothing on the game so the atmosphere is bound to drop a bit. Hardly surprising!

I'm sure the 20+k a week will soften the blow. Before you say it, I always stay til the final whistle and I clap off the players but stop acting like they are going to look at us and feel unwanted or something. They aren't, they are paid 20k a week to do their jobs, they are not going to look at the couple of thousand seats and feel unwanted. They know they are appreciated.

It was constant and loud. The days whole stadia chanted are no longer. Average fan age has seen to that, along with the prawn sandwich brigade.

Was that your opinion formed from the radio or the ground. we were s***e today regarding atmosphere. best fans?? what a load of bollicks.

This^^^
We really have a high opinion of ourselves and as for those rushing off early to go and have a micro wave roast .piss poor

The 4th minute goal and the complete dominance of Man City made it unlikely that the atmosphere would hit Chelsea levels. Being safe in mid-table had an effect on both team and fans, but both can bounce back for the Liverpool game. Yesterday was a bit like the Swansea home game, which was killed off early as well.

The atmosphere was pretty quiet compared to normal. I think the match was decided with the Liverpool result, had they won then city would've been massively deflated, as it happened it was the best team talk they could have had. For us, team and fans, it was basically a game that meant nothing after a hard slog throughout the season.

You are right,
However that is where we claim to be different to other fans other than the HF is was pretty bad yesterday and there was a lot of comments and sarcasm aimed at those leaving early in the lower holmesdale
