There was a thread not long ago submitting a thought for Palace, now safe, fielding a team of fringe players and youngsters. Chelsea, because of the pressure of their program, are openly voicing the same thought. Now any of their 25 named squad can be used in any permutation, but adding too many U21 players, with little experience will see sanctions from the league. The rules are clear.

It's also about prize money finish as high as you can

Tony Pulis has said he will put out his strongest team possible for all remaining games and wants to win them all. Different with Chelsea as they are playing to get in to the champions league final.

This is the only way to go.

It would be great to beat Citeh and even better to p!ss on Liverpool's parade, topped off by relegating Fulham on the last day.

And I see signs of half remembered days, I hear bells that chime in strange familiar ways

Yes the rules are clear, a team can field any player named in their 25 man squad and any of their U21 squad players, if that's not the case which it isn't, then the 25 player rules a farce, and then you'll have a problem with teams that rotate players, and there are a few clubs in the Premier that do rotate, Cardiff being one of them.

We will play the strongest team we can. If Liverfool beat Chelski then the Citeh boys won't really have much more to play for.

Even if they are "up for it" , we can beat that lot.

Every place is worth about 900k, we may not be able to catch the Saints, but we can catch Toon.

Even a point would be a spectacular result.

You don't believe that do you?
They're not out of it yet. They'll be above Chelsea if they beat us and the only team that can catch Liverpool. Still a tall order.

Mick McCarthy tried using that excuse at Wolves. He had several (5 I think) internationals come in as well but they still got fined.

the dignified don't even enter in the game

I know he did, and that was in Feb 2010, also Blackpool were fined in Jan 2011 for the same reason.

That came to an end at the beginning of season 2011/12 when "The Premier League" amended its rules in the summer of 2011 following the introduction of their official 25-man squad list, in addition to some under-21 players are also included, so any player in the 25 man squad is part of a full strength squad.
