He was great last season as well. He's the scapegoat of the team unfortunately so whenever we have a bad game he gets slated. The only thing he needs to improve on is his finishing as the two chances he had against Sunderland and Newcastle should have been put away.

Looks like a decision needs to be made then. Jedinak and KG and win 1-0 or Jedinak and Ledley and win 3-2

has resisted writing a single post on the Ross McCormack thread !!!

There's a reason why every manager we've had since KG joined has consistently played him.

It's the same reason that none of us are football managers.

Sorry, but are we watching the same player? He is the new Tom Soares who also played magnificently when he didn't move or make a tackle. My two sons were at West Ham on Saturday and said he was useless. A recent survey showed that he made 1.6 tackles per game, with no assists and no goals. When we played Villa, Delph showed how a defensive midfielder should play, making himself available all over the pitch with great movement and making tackles. I prefer Ledley all day to KG.

Let's keep the ball this season!

This. TP knows more than we do and keeps playing him so that really says it all.

Don,
You do like a moan don't you.
Looks like you are bringing up your sons to have a good moan as well.!!!!
He was not useless on Saturday.
The TEAM were very good and deserved there Victory.
Your last sentence though will probably happen as Tony improves the TEAM.

Isn't IT FUNNY HOW DIFFERENT PEOPLE SEE DIFFERENT PLAYERS. At The Bolyne on Saturday I saw a remarkable performance by KG. I suppose if you are looking for an impact player, then I s'pose Don Rogers is correct. It was the same when Geof Thomas played for England, people saying he was the invisible man. But then, going back over those internationals with my doubting sons we were able to perceive exactly why the England Manager and the rest put him in the team. It is true, when he had to come of injured recently Palace were far more 'attacky'. Hence the comment 1-0 with him or 3-2 without.

That's because his job isn't to score or assist goals, but to break up attacks and support the defence. Fair enough, he's had a few chances this season that he should have put away and didn't, but that is not his main priority. I don't understand why people slate him. He's by no means our best player, but he is very important for the team.

He's been great, but not the kind of class you need if you want to push up the league and go beyond the glass cealing into the top half

I'll take the 1-0 with him, and then 3-2 when he's not fit. Its very rare for a team to conceed two goals and win.

With KG I think its all about what he doesn't do as opposed to what he does do. Its nothing spectacular with him its just going around covering, stopping things happening and breaking things up. He does nothing fancy, noticeable or statistical. However as a few people notice when he's in the team we win, without him we tend to lose.
