This forum is forever selecting our greatest games ever.
If your user name is anything to go by I'm surprised you don't make greater reference to the great cup run under Big Mal. Those away days at Elland Road,Roker Park, not to mention the Battle of Stamford Bridge will remain etched in Palace folklore for those lucky to have been in attendance and old enough to remember.

There's only one Alan Whittle

I think my top 5 are
1990 FA Semi v Liverpool
Play-off Final Watford 2013
Beating Chelsea Premier League 2014
Zenith Data Cup 1991 v Everton
Sheffield Wednesday Championship 2010

This season though will be the greatest ever.

hey buddy, we did not just 'beat chelsea' - we knocked them off the title challenge perch

Hillsborough for me, such an emotional day.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

I was there, right in line with the flight of the ball from the free-kick that Peter Taylor won us the game with. Bonetti's flailing dive as he tried to reach the ball is for ever etched upon my mind. Police on horseback, fisticuffs on the terraces, my pockets picked, Jimmy Hill outraged on MOTD – the Life on Mars football experience. Horrible but strangely wonderful at the same time.

HIllsborough probably has to be my number 1. There was so little footballing ability in that day, just raw emotion got everyone through.

Then potentially Chelsea - to be the first promoted club to ever beat Mourinho is a nice little stat for the history book, and it's not been too often that we've beaten the side top of the league.

The last two Play-Off Finals are in contention.

Slightly rogue option, but I thought beating Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 last September was huge. We'd looked hopeless previously, Bolasie and Moritz's debut, we scored in the first minute, terrible refereeing, everyone screaming at Kirkland and then snatched the win at the end. I doubt I'll ever hear 14,000 people make so much noise and it totally turned our season.

26th January 2010 - Enter Administration
2nd May 2010 - D-Day 1 - Survival at Hillsborough
1st June 2010 - D-Day 2 - Survival at Lloyds
7th June 2010 - CPFC2010 exchange contracts.

Greatest day for me was Hopkins curling one. 2nd was beating Leeds in 1976 which, to put it in context, was rather like the current Wolves beating Arsenal. Can't say I enjoyed the match against Chelsea in 76 - just glad to escape the North Bank with my skin intact.
I think that in the context of our resources, expectations and the quality we have faced this season is the clubs greatest achievement on a par with getting promotion in 1969.

Think my footer gives mine away...

Have to say all of the playoff finals are a close second. Turning around the 1st leg deficit against Blackburn in 1989 as a 15 yr old with a 3 0 win and running on the pitch was probably the best of them all.

Can't deny the atmospheres this season are some of the best for home league matches

Spot on. Remember fans literally standing on pitch by touch lines whilst game still playing waiting for final whistle to blow. Even grabbed a hand full of selhusrt turf to put in garden.

Get it on-get it in-F**K OFF ALAN HANSEN!!

I think for me it was Everton this week. It seemed like my 20 years as a Palace fan had been leading to it and confirmed the following:

- Financial future and security of the club
- Pride and commitment of the fans to their local and community club
- The commitment of the players despite us being hailed as 'safe'
- Connection between players and fans

Most of all I just love being a Palace fan and am so proud of it and everyone connected with the club.

1. Burnley
2. Liverpool
3. Man Utd (3-3)
4. Chelsea (Peter Taylor)

As a wild-card 5th, I am simply going to say "Everton" because there are so many good memories associated with them including:

1. Wednesday night (guaranteeing survival, more or less)
2. Our first Cup Final win at Wembley (ok, ZDS, but WTF)
3. Lombardo's debut

Sydenham by birth. Selhurst by the Grace of God.
