On a Cardiff forum the suggestion is that a member of Palace's staff forwarded a text to Dougie in error with the Cardiff team. Dougie then alerted Cardiff. Allegedly!

This has gotten so weird that I'm starting to wonder whether the media have made 100% of this up! Vincent Tan might actually be sat there thinking "where the hell has this come from?". Blinkin media *shakes fist*

Even if we did do it we kept the same line up from the Chelsea game and these allegations are coming from a club who are using illegal bonuses!!!!!!!

Can't se4e what the problem is, unless, as already stated, there is something else on the message about bribes to throw the match. I suppose the league must investigate any communications not above board between teams about to play each other.

Cardiff shouldn't be in the English league anyway! Totally agree!

Why the animosity towards Freedman, he has a duty of responsibility to report this if true, he would himself been in trouble if he received this info and done nothing, and it had been found out.

Yes, this. Also realising that receiving this information was in breach of the Premier League’s non-disclosure rule (B.17), Freedman might have simply wanted to alert Cardiff so they could investigate and cover their backs. He might not have had any intention of landing Palace in the mire. Just a thought.

If there is any truth in this, it can only show that the man is a poisonous little weasel.
