I wouldn't worry about any players that fall into the under 21s bracket. Most development players are on low wages and need time to development.

I believe we will release the following players especially those whose contracts are up in the summer.

Neil Alexander,Lewis Price,Dean Moxey,Stephen Dobbie, Aaron Wilbraham, Jimmy Kebe, Peter Ramage and Owen Garvan

Camapana will depend on whether Nurumberg want him. He's still young and has talent with a 4 year contract therefore maybe there is still a chance for him.

Getting rid of Murray, KG, Gabbidon, Bannan and Guedioura won't happen. KG has been a first team player and therefore Pulis rates him. Murray, REALLY, the guy is a natural finisher and has only just come back from a 10month injury. I'd rather have Murray and replace Jerome with another goal scorer when he goes back to Stoke. If we release the players above and strengthen, then their will still be a place for those 5 above. Still all solid players and we need to keep the team spirit that we nearly lost by bringing in too many players.

Bannan will depend on Williams IMO as they are similar. Pulis claims that Johnny is in his plans and therefore that would indicate to me that Barry maybe on his way out, which is a real shame as I beleive he is a great player, but unfortunatly doesn't fit in the current squad. To be fair we don't know if Pulis will play the same system as now, owing to the fact he'll have a full preseason to great some new ideas across and therefore if he can fit Johnny in then he should be able to fit Barry in, but I doubt this will happen at the cost of Johnny.

I'd say the bigger worry is hanging on to the main players from the squad, tbh. Jedi, Ward, Speroni etc. could well result in offers we can't refuse...

there are certainly some donkeys in such a massive squad, people who have had much time to prove themselves down in the lower leagues and have failed to do so

Don't we have an 1 year extension option on Chamakh.

Yes we do, but it's up to the player if he wants to take it up.

He's done okay this year, I think he'd be foolish not to take up the opportunity with us - we're a good match. If he'd got a few more goals he'd be a lot harder to keep hold of.

Dont think its a massive squad for a prem club, for example Chelsea have got 27 players out on loan to other clubs plus their 25 man prem squad plus a big development squad.

also remember under 21s don't count against the 25, i believe.

i would also expect a few more to go our on loans to championship squads as well

More to the point is Pulis going to stay?

With any luck we will stay up... then we have second season syndrome to deal with.

That in fact is only a squad of 20 those highlighted don't count as they are U21s, plus Reise Allassani an attacking MF.

If the squad does need trimming, then I think we should start with the fringe players.
