On the odd occasion, the strength of argument on HoL or the views of one poster can make you think again. On this subject there was a post - which I think was from Kermit8 - which pointed out that the difference between Hillsborough and the other tragedies (and Bradford is very, very close to my heart), was that the Hillsborough families are still seeking justice. I think you can reasonably say that the real responsibility is still unclear, but keeping it in the public domain seems fair and reasonable, until that issue is resolved.
Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand! My opinions may have changed, but not the fact that I am right. (Member of the School of Optimism 1969-2016 inclusive) |

Hasn't it been resolved now with the recent investigation? What is left to fight ?

For Munich. I guess it'd be hard to differentiate mins silence with a normal home fixture to be fair...

But, why not just have 1 minute silence/delay? That keeps it in the media?

I couldn't care less what the rest of you do or think. For me, the minute's silence will relate to the many incidents where innocents died. Like Slovenia Dave I feel stronger about Bradford for a number of reasons. But I will be silent, will have a tear in my eye and use it for reflection on those that died and those that had to live with the loss. And anyone being an idiot in that one minute will offend me to the ultimate degree.

Respect the minutes silence but I hope we don't pander them further.

A minutes silence is proper, not only in remembrance for the 96 who were taken, but for the cover-up that tried to paint football supporters as less than human. We are all in this together, everywhere football is played and supporters pay their hard earned dough to watch and cheer. Remember the Hillsborough 96, supporters sacrificed for no good reason.
