On the odd occasion, the strength of argument on HoL or the views of one poster can make you think again. On this subject there was a post - which I think was from Kermit8 - which pointed out that the difference between Hillsborough and the other tragedies (and Bradford is very, very close to my heart), was that the Hillsborough families are still seeking justice. I think you can reasonably say that the real responsibility is still unclear, but keeping it in the public domain seems fair and reasonable, until that issue is resolved. Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand! My opinions may have changed, but not the fact that I am right. (Member of the School of Optimism 1969-2016 inclusive)

Yeah. But it would be better if all the dead could have 1 day for all to be remembered. Like a rememberance Sunday. Or something similar. Not interfere with kick-off times.

Not really, the inquest has only just started. But I do hope that, once that is over, we can put it into context will all the other tragedies and not make it a 'special case'.

Completely agree. I was just commenting on the reason it is still, quite rightly, in the pubic eye. But a 7 minute delay looks like it was the idea of some PR person who had little idea about football and football supporters.

Not really, the inquest has only just started. But I do hope that, once that is over, we can put it into context will all the other tragedies and not make it a 'special case'.

The inquest has started. So why do we need to keep making it a special case, when it already is?

I couldn't care less what the rest of you do or think. For me, the minute's silence will relate to the many incidents where innocents died. Like Slovenia Dave I feel stronger about Bradford for a number of reasons. But I will be silent, will have a tear in my eye and use it for reflection on those that died and those that had to live with the loss. And anyone being an idiot in that one minute will offend me to the ultimate degree.

For me, the minute's silence will relate to the many incidents where innocents died. Like Slovenia Dave I feel stronger about Bradford for a number of reasons.

But I will be silent, will have a tear in my eye and use it for reflection on those that died and those that had to live with the loss. And anyone being an idiot in that one minute will offend me to the ultimate degree.

I doubt that any of us would even think of being disrespectful. A minutes silence is fair, not a seven minute delay. What makes this different to any other tragedy?

The other tragedies did not have the senior police trying to cover-up what they had and hadn't done and then compounding that with ensuing falsifications and misrepresentation. It is their fault that this hasn't been put to bed yet. Not Liverpool FC nor their families. They denied the victims justice to suit their own ends but are still being pursued vigorously, no matter how long it takes, to make sure that they don't eventually manage to get away with it.
