Given the run in of Norwich, either result is probably fine for us, as long as we get at least a draw against Villa. The best result would probably be a Fulham win. Norwich probably can't get more than 35 points this season (their remaining games being Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal). So on a probability scale them losing should mean no club currently above them will be relegated. If Fulham win, Norwich are proper f**ked. Fulham would still be looking at maybe catching West Brom or Swansea (making up 7 points over five games is a big ask). Realistically, a Norwich win is the best result for us, provided we can get at least one point between now and the end of the season the probabily of staying up would be very high. Whilst either Fulham or Sunderland still have a shout of catching us, Cardiff I think are gone, and I think Norwich will join them unless they beat Fulham. No one wants to go to those kind of games (Arse, Utd, Chelksi and Liverpool) needing to win. This mystical run in that Norwich have, aint so impossible. - Arsenal - falling apart at the seams and seemingly not muchto play for, easilly do-able if you are fighting for your lives, would rather we played them now than when we did. Man Ure - again, losing what little cred they had rapidly, no rooney nor van persie, no season, no europe. A scalp waiting for the taking. Liverpool - possibly the only one that should batter them left right and centre but who knows? Don't forget, they also beat Spurs as well when they were given no hope. Yes, but its a prediction, rather than a statement. Realistically, you'd expect them to lose those games, or a best get one win or a couple of draws. I wouldn't expect us to take points from Man City and Liverpool either. We could win all remaining 6 games, get 18 points, and finish in the top 10. I'd rather not have our last four games being Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal. Arsenal still have champions league to play for, Chelsea and Liverpool have the league. Man Utd, will probably fancy at least Europa league football next season so will still be in the hunt. Everton and Arsenal for 4th will go to the last game.

Norwich win, Cardiff Sunderland lose and we win then we go 10 points clear of the bottom 3 that means Fulham and Cardiff cant catch us and only Sunderland can. Edit got it wrong more games left then I thought. Edited by EastEndPalace (11 Apr 2014 3.04pm)
If Fulham, Cardiff and Sunderland lost this weekend it would mean that Fulham would have 27 with a possible maximum of 39 That would mean we would need 3 more after that to make sure Fulham and Cardiff cant catch us with another 6 to be sure Sunderland cant (not looking at GD) However if the form book works on Wednesday and both us and Sunderland lose at Everton and Citeh we would only need three more to get Sunderland out of the equaition Put it this way - If we can beat Villa and the others all lose then a win at Everton on Tuesday would mean Fulham and Cardiff cant catch us and if Sunderland lose at City we are safe... If we can do that I would wet myself Edited by The Sash (11 Apr 2014 3.43pm)

Norwich V Fulham Better to keep Fulham down there or drag Norwich right into it ?? For me a draw I feel is bestist I think Fulham will win this. They are on the back of a win and Norwich are in disarray with Alan Partridge as their manager. AHA!

This weekend its obviously Us v Villa In the bottom v bottoms but elsewhere
All of the other sides are playing a team who is a) better than them and b) still has something to play for A win for us is absolutely vital......if those other games can go to form

This nonsense about Norwich amazes me. We have to play three of the top 5 before the end of the season. We're little better off than they are.

Hull v Man U also not on due to FA Cup Semi. I still think we need 5 more points from 6 games.

Good question, probably a draw just to be safe. Holt any momentum that Fulham are building and also stop Norwich picking up 3 points.

We need 4 points from Villa, Everton and West Ham. Sunderland next 3 Everton, Man City and Chelsea If we get to 38. Cant see Sunderland gettin much from those 3 maybe a point, they would 12 behind us with 12 points to play for. Cardiff again maybe a point or 2, but still they would be 10 points behind with 9 left to play for. Fulham, maybe 3, 1 or none anything less than a win today and with 3 games left they would be 10 behind with 9 to play for. Norwich, 4 tough games after today if they lose today, if we get 38, they would be 6 behind with 9 to play for and can you really see them beatin 2 of Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd and scoring alot of goals? But knowing Palace we will lose today, Fulham will beat Norwich, Cardiif will smash Southampton and Sunderland will beat Everton and then shock Man City midweek

A draw is definitely the best result as it does neither of them any favours. I think today's opponents Villa will be a tough one to crack.

Yeah we were better off when Villa were out of the mire. Now they are in the same scrap as us. We are fortunate they have lost their best player but their next two are back in the side. At this moment I would settle for a draw - but I still think a win is there for the taking. Edited by peterg (12 Apr 2014 10.52am)

Clearly we want a Norwich win today. If the current bottom 3 get no more points (apart from when / if they play each other) then we have nothing to worry about.
