Leicester can sod off. Speroni not only is a faithful servant, he's a sexy beast! No one takes my eye candy away from me

I'm tough. I'm ambitious. I know exactly what I want. If that makes me a bitch, I'm OK with that.

There's a lot of emotion about this.....But really it's quite simple.

Palace don't spend millions on a new goalkeeper and then keep him as a back up for multiple seasons.

Speroni will be offered a contract as a back up.....He will probably and rightly reject it as he's had an amazing season and won't see out his playing days on the bench.

Pulis is looking long term.....I'm afraid you are just going to have to get use to Wayne Hennessey.

It would make a lot of sense for any promoted team to grab Speroni......He has won us points this season as apart of a truly effective defence.

I'd be surprised if Pulis does this. Speroni has done nothing but enhance his reputation this season overall - a few mistakes here and there but so has every goalkeeper.

I doubt he'd drop a keeper just because hes a bit older, you drop someone because they aren't playing well and what kind of a message does it send to the rest of the squad if he dropped Jules just because hes in his 30's ? Pulis isn't that kind of manager - look how he has everyone playing for him, you just cant do that as a manager without being an excellent motivator, and you aren't an excellent motivator by dropping players for anything other than form.

Hennessy is here to keep Jules on top of his game and so he takes nothing for granted. At whatever point Speroni dips then WH will get his chance. He'll get a new contract no problem, and will be first choice keeper next season.

it took me long enough to decide to renew my season ticket and i've been proven wrong with the style of football improving and the performances being generally better, its more enjoyable. However, let him go in a manner in which it looks like they don't give a fcuk, i'm happilly cancelling that ddm for the ticket.

If your season ticket buying decisions are so fragile as too be based upon managerial selection then maybe it's just as well.

thanks for the advice dad

We need two good quality keepers to ensure they both push each other for the number one spot. It's no coincidence that Speroni's been in superb form since the start of February. Pulis will also know this and as a result, won't let Jules go.

First choice? Mmmmmm.....Are you willing to put your money where your opinion is?

Yup. £20 to the charity of the winners choice with screenshot proof on the HOL ?

Spot on. His 1st performance better than before was CPFC 3 - 1 WBA on Sat 8th Feb. Since then he's been true class.

The only thing you could pick at would be the Southampton goal in that he could've been off his heals a bit earlier but I put that down to Puncheon not dealing with it. Speroni could've got himself sent off so overall actually challenging with a legal tackle and being unlucky at where the ball ended up and not being sent off wasn't bad at all.

His weaknesses can be in the air at times and coming off his line. Hopefully opposition won't find ways of regularly exploiting any weaknesses.

I wasn't really putting myself forward for betting myself. I was wondering if you would.

I'd say for Speroni to be first choice next season he'd have to start 30 games.

I'd be surprised if Pulis didn't offer a contract but I can't see Speroni being first choice.

Stirling - you clearly asked "Are you..." not "Would you be....."

Obviously, you aren't so convinced yourself then?

Speroni will be offered a contract, but Pulis will probably put whoever fares best between the sticks. Price was decent enough for championship back up, but in the top flight, you need two keepers pushing for first place, and an understudy.

Whether the contract will be accepted is another matter. Jules will have a sum in mind, his agent will have a say and we'll have a limit we'd be willing to go to.

Hennesy is a decent enough keeper, a good few years younger, poached from Wolves. If he's good enough, he'll take the number 1 spot, if he's not Pulis will play Speroni.

Pulis is a pragmatic kind of guy, he'll not worry about 1m quid, if Jules is outperforming Hennessy.

It also means if we lose speroni, to another club with a big offer, we have a decent replacement with premiership experience.
