In Pulis' system, the sum is greater than the parts. Every part has a role and if they play it, the sum will take care of the results. The system isn't designed to produce 20 goals a seasons scorers; it's designed to create the chance to get a result and it doesn't matter who delivers the killer punch. To the degree that Jerome has played the role of the part he's been given almost to perfection, he has had a great season. But the term "Player of the Season" is a bit of a misnomer with Pulis because it's the system itself, rather than any one player, that's the real star.
I reckon he'll stick with the corn rolls

You always seem to talk so much sense syd with very good and accurate (IMO) summary of the situation, I always look out for your posts, shame you muck it up every now and again when you have had a smoke or a whisky ;-) (Can someone please tell me where the smillie faces are ? I have to keep using the old school ones)

Surely there is a player who can do what CJ does and can score goals. He needs to be greedy, but that does not appear to be his game. I suspect this makes him perfect for TP's system. But CJ is great to watch.
Isn't now that Palace join the big boys? Or are you saying Palace never will? You may be right, but I hope you're wrong!

It's probably still open and hidden behind the Hol page, shrink your main page and see if it's there. As I said leave out the hyphen between this : and that ) and you'll have a smilie like this If you quote my post you'll see how they're done. That'll be £500 please
