The 3 bottom teams have now got to produce something special to get out of it. I thought Sunderland would get something last night but that result surely seals it fot them. Fulham's corpse is twitching but I think they will still go and I see a Norwich win saturday, Norwich are not that bad and with a bit of new manager lift it should see them home. I agree, the 3 teams below the line have a mammoth task to survive, they are 5 points adrift with a inferior GD, big ask, and none of them look like they have it in them for the fight ahead.
Confidence goes a long way - the bottom 3 have very little I would imagine and only new manager bounce can save Norwich. But its not even a new manager, just a step-up with an inexperienced guy, so they are unlikely to get that.

At this stage of the season any struggling team who are not averaging more than one point per game are in big trouble. You need to be winning one of every two and picking up a draw here and there. Eight points or more from six games sees you pull away from the pack. Ironically we have eight from the last six and you can see how that has lifted us clear. Another win on Saturday and a Fulham loss and the relegation issue is done and dusted. The above scenario would leave the bottom three needing over two points a game from their remaining fixtures (4 for Cardiff and Fulham and 6 for Sunderland). Villa is the big one.

I'd rather they drew and we won, that should put enough teams between us and the bottom to make relegation almost impossible (given the games they have amongst themselves). At a pinch I'd be happy with 3pts for us and Fulham. They won't catch us now, and it would make it almost impossible for Norwich to finish above us.

I think Fulham are the only team within a shout of staying. If they beat Norwich, then they have the easier run of fixtures. Our survival is in our own hands now, we win or gain points we will be okay. Be nice to keep Fulham in the league rather than Norwich. Norwich's run after FUlham is scary, And I don't see them gaining any points.

It doesn't really matter who does what now, as it is in our own hands. That's the beauty of the situation. TP has won Palace breathing space whereby we do not have to worry about other results as long as we do our bit. But we have the luxury of a little speculation from a safer position. Norwich just look too good and getting rid of their manager could be their undoing. Villa look a beaten side and losing their one good player makes it even harder for them. Like a team 2-0 up, Villa fell into the comfort zone and now the other side have scored it means Villa have to start fighting again. They do not look like they can and Palace really ought to step in there and take the points. Only West Brom look to have fight and ability left and the rest too much to do.

So you think Norwich can beat Fulham? Just take a look at past form with these two teams... Since 2004, they have met 9 times Fulham have won six Fulham are Norwich's bogey team - big time. Still, it don't matter a sh!t because we're Villa's bogey team!
