Ha Ha Dreading this. Hope and pray for a result but I just can't see it. If we have Gabby, Delph and El Ahmadi back we could spring a surprise but, well, I'm not holding my breath.
What has this club come to when we are all expecting a newly promoted Crystal f***** Palace to thump us.
Sad times indeed.
3-0 to them. Edited by paulose17 (07 Apr 2014 12.16pm)
"You lost to Crystal f***ing Palace?" "you know you're season is shot to sh1t when you go to Palace hoping not to get thrashed" love it.

Nil nil written all over it. Which in light of recent results, would be a decent result for us.
Punch is on a roll, it's time Glen got something and we just look damned good right now. We are going to get two.

A win would see us more than safe, but Villa are sometimes good away from Villa Park. 2-0 to Palace, but expect it to be tough.

Villa will be using us as a springboard out of the zone and I expect nothing at this point. Close affair, Villa are a good side. Got one nil all over it, can't decide who for though.

This is the sort of game we lose. I think we are starting to get a little excited but a Fulham win and a palace lose puts us 4 points from the drop. Big game and I would gladly take a draw but it can't be taken likely

Going into this game, I'd much rather have our recent results than theirs. I might be wrong but haven't we conceded just 1 goal in the last 5 games (against Saints ?) and we've played better teams than Villa. Last weekend they lost at home to the team that was bottom, we spanked our relegation rivals away. Not surprised they're dreading it. Us to win by a couple, but it will be tight.
You'll be forever in my family's memories and it was an honor and privilege to play and lead in the red and blue |

I think the game vs Villa is a big one, it's the last home game this season where you could say we should/could win. With Liverpool and Man City the remaining home games, I think we need to set up and go for the win, We should be aiming to be able to get 3 points at home to Villa, no disrespect to them. The last 2 home games will be hard, Liverpool will be going for something they have failed to accheive in many many years since there domination in English Football, and Man City will be fighting for the same trophy. I think we should be beating Villa at home, and getting something away to Fulham, as unfortunately for them, I think they will be gone far sooner than the last game of the season. Everton are on an unbelieveable run of 6 wins in last 7 (or something like that), they are playing well under Martinez and are fighting for top 4, very very difficult to get anything at their place. (I think Man Utd picked the wrong manager, and should have picked Roberto Martinez, I have always liked him since Swansea) #ManUtdMissedATrickThere West Ham, we should be looking to take at least a draw at their place. Thankfully, I think we need one more win v's Villa, I think the other clubs especially Norwich with their run in will allow us to be safe with 37 points. Big Big game on Saturday, H U G E imho
Remembering staffie for ever!, a gentleman and true great. unfortunately the HOL will never be the same without him. |

Chelsea are a counter attacking side but we surrender possession and they have to attack us this is what we must play against villa but givin are defence the are unlikely to break us down. Same tactics basically that we played versus Chelsea think if we take are chances looking at one of those 3-1 that sometimes come around COYP!!! Edited by Recto (07 Apr 2014 6.56pm)

Really can't call this one, it'll be a nervy affair & Villa are probably glad it's not in front of their home fans!
