Tapping up requires an approach to a contracted player by agents of a third party, without permission to do so. As fans have no authority to act on behalf of the club, nor the legal capacity to do so, it would not be tapping up. An actual offer or reasonable belief that an offer has or will be made, has to be involved. For example, Parish could have dinner with Wilf. Its only tapping up if its reasonable to believe this event was more than just a friendly meeting, and involved a violation of the contract owning clubs interests.

I am worried that there a danger that we could be reported to the FA for tapping up Wilf Zaha. Wilf is under contract to Man Utd. Could us singing:- Are you stupid, on drugs or are just plain ignorant as too what constitutes tapping up?

If he's all three then we should get the police involved.

Did t parish say something to effect of 'we'd love to have wilf back' ? I don't know the technicalities but that sounds like tapping up. The fact that neither utd or Cardiff seem to want to keep hold of him means ultimately no one would really give a s***.

Wif or Moses I'd be happy with. Not sure Moses is within our range but I think w could get Wilf for 7m

Short memories on here... Wilf is a player on zero confidence and bad form right now. Get him back where he's loved and playing again and hell soon come good.

Zaha is a part of our Championship history but he will play no part in our Premiership future. He's Just Not Good Enough

Zaha is a part of our Championship history but he will play no part in our Premiership future. He's Just Not Good Enough Bollocks. And disrespectful. Watch the play offs again and tell me he hasn't got what it takes. He's been appallingly managed by moyes, who has crushed his confidence. Then sent on loan to a car cash club with a rookie manager. He is a young lad from South London, living away from home for first time, and has likely missed the stability that living and working in and around family and friends provided. Not everyone is cut out to move around too much, and maybe he just needs to be wanted. He blossomed under the careful management of dougie, who whatever you think of him, did an excellent job with the young players. Since then he had holloway who on all accounts is anything but a disciplinaren, the poor treatment under moyes and now fans booing him at Cardiff. The long and short of it is he is playing NOWHERE NEAR his full potential right now for a number of reasons. And shouldn't be judged by his current form.

If we could buy him back at a big discount it would be a steal. Based on this season's form his value must have dropped quite a bit but he's still got it and could be a tremendous asset next season in the Prem.
