Absolutely must be the same team and the same approach. Sooner or later Cardiff will have to go for it, and that's when we hit them on the counter.

Tactically, we don't need to score, 0-0 does us fine. So makes sense to draw them in then hit them - although of course actually scoring goals is the problem. Can we ask Chelsea if we can have Terry on loan to play him up front ? Clinical finisher - 1 chance, 1 goal.

You'll be forever in my family's memories and it was an honor and privilege to play and lead in the red and blue
Yours sincerely
Mile Jedinak

I don't think it will change so Chamakh may be on the subs bench.

However, he needs to get some game time though to get fit so I think we'll definitely see MC at some point.

prefer to see the same XI start with a similar game plan, would like to see us go full out for the victory & get the seasons survival over & done with asap rather than dragging it out till the Fulham game.

The same game plan? Funny. I thought Palace were going to play a team at the bottom away, not the team at the top at home! I think Palace really should adopt the apt tactics for the game they're playing and the side they are up against. Think about it TP!

If Cardiff throw the kitchen sink at us which they will I think we will be ok. I can see this being another kind of Chelsea games soak up the pressure and then break with pace and exploit the gaps in the back but FFS Palace put them away.

You don't think Cardiff will be clever and hold back, inviting Palace forward and exploiting the resulting gaps. With speedy players like Zaha and Bellingham up front, I would. After all, they must know Palace need to win as much as them. Or do Palace fall back to their old, misdirected ways of defending negatively and do a Newcastle etc?

There's no way Cardiff will hold back, this is make or break for them, their fans won't let them sit back.

And we don't need to win as much as them, their season is over if they don't win this, we're far from that stage.

I'd be very happy with a point.

We need to play against Cardiff like we did at selhurst , defend well , and attack when we can , if we do this again I'm confident of a win . They were one of the worst teams to come to selhurst this season so lets go the same way about it on Saturday

I agree very much with this. Firstly I don't think Cardiff have the ability to hold back and defend in the way that we do. If they did, that would suit us just fine. As has been pointed out, it is make or break to some extent for them and the pressure is more on them than us, especially being at home.

We do not need to win this match. For Cardiff its must win, for us its must not lose. I would happily take a point from this game. That would leave Cardiff with just a handful of games from which to close a growing gap between us and them.

My main worry is that Cardiff are actually fairly good going forward and do seem to be scoring a lot of goals recently. I could well see us conceding at some point. Thankfully Cardiff do not seem to know how to defend but we are not renowned for our goalscoring exploits so I predict a close game lacking in quality.

In a battle between Pulis and OGS tactically I am glad we have Pulis.

I hope we look to play as we did on Saturday and at Newcastle..looking to break when we cam rather than camp out as we did against Swansea 1st Half, Sunderland and Saints - we look so much better when we do

One advantage of having TP at the helm is that his gameplan changes only slightly from game to game. It doesn't matter if we're playing Chelsea H or Cardiff A. We have low ball possession and a hardworking compact team that opens wide during counter attacks. I expect (and want) us to do exactly what we did all season with TP against Cardiff.

Same team, same tactics, hopefully the same outcome.

It's not like he can tell the team to park the bus more than we normally do, so I don't anticipate any dangerous shifts in mentality which will invite Cardiff more than we normally invite other teams.
