Any Australian ref in an A League match. I think they make the rules up as they go along.
Seriously though, referees here in Australia are ruining the game, trying to make it a non-contact sport. Some games I give it away, I get so frustrated and the linesmen are just as bad with the offside rule, the number of times they get it wrong. Fox/Sky have to accept some blame as well with commentators refusing to critisise refs performances and calling for more and more yellow cards for seemingly inocuous tackes.

Allan Gunn. Man U could have surgically removed Geoff Thomas's legs in the box and he'd still have given the free kick outside the area.

George Courtney, the World Cup referee, everyone is looking at him. When will he blow....?

Gunn was a Brighton fan from Burgess Hill.

For me d'Urso has to be the worst. Remember him sending off hobbitt lookalike at the time Danny Butterfield at Spurs instead of skinhead Jamie Smith?

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

Webb, totally agree, Most overrated in the premier league and somehow always misses clear cut decisions

Webb

I remember seeing an interview (I think it was with Mike Riley) around consistency and he said you cant really expect it from game to game as a refs 'interpretation' will always be slightly different but certainly should from the ref in the game he is 'reffing'

Webb very rarely shows any consistency with his decision making - look at he Saints game

Luckily we can't have him at the moment but there is a twunt called Shoebridge who should never be allowed to ref an under 5 game let alone anything older

Let no-one forget "Blind" Dermot Gallagher, the man who missed the Leeds defender punching the ball back from well inside the goal at the Sainsbury's end in that notorious cup match at Selhurst. We could see from the Upper Holmesdale that the ball was almost into the back of the net but we did not realise until we saw the replays that a defender had knocked it back into play with his arm into the bargain. So it was a double penalty but Gallagher, who appeared to have a clear view, ignored them both.

This is the same Blind Dermot Gallagher who sent off Palace's Sorondo at West Brom, even though Sorondo clearly played the ball in the tackle and Gallagher was miles behind the play. Palace were creaming the match at the time and Gallagher's decision meant we only scraped a draw. That point meant that West Brom stayed up at the end of the season and Palace were relegated.

BDG later turned up on tv as a pundit but was notorious for never criticising referees. Let's stick together boys, right or (as in his case) wrong.

On the other side of the coin, how about Kelvin Morton ? Loved him. Guaranteed to give us at least one penalty (gave us 4 against the weeds in 89...even though we missed 3 of them !) and also guaranteed to send off one of the opposition. Defo a closet Palace fan was our Kelv !!

I hate all referees, in every type of sport they officiate.

The worst football ref ever as far as I'm concerned was that ginger shyte Paul Durkin.

The only ref I ever thought was decent was Uriah Rennie. I remember one incident when he jumped in the middle if Roy Keane and Viera and pushed Keane out the way of it all.

Other than him, they're all knobs.

Surprised I am the only one who mentioned Kevin Friend. He takes useless to a whole new level.

Yeah talking refs I don't actually mind, I don't mind the young lad, Michael Oliver. I think he has the ability to be a ref in the World Cup of the future if he carries on the way he's refereeing
