Just wondering where all the fans have gone from last week and the week before?

If I remember correctly there were a number of people criticising pulis' tactics, saying he doesn't know what he's doing bla bla bla.

Anyone care to carry on or can we all just agree he has got it spot on once again.

Genius.

I'm still here.
Changed tactics today, he actually set the team up to win. So if he gets it right, he gets praise, if he gets it wrong he doesn't. Seems fair to me.

And to me. Isn't that what these message boards are kind of for? A whinge here, a pumped fist there...

Today shows this team can play when instructed to do so. We could and should have got something more out of several of our last few games against weaker teams. But beating Chelski is a highlight of the season

Fantastic atmosphere - the whole ground singing at points.

Today absolutely wonderful and best moment of season by a mile. If we won only one game all season I'd want to be this. Brilliant performance by players, manager and crowd and happy to eat a bit of humble.

I've been one of the moaners but the performance level and attacking intent appeared very different to what we've seen in recent weeks.

We'll done Pulis and team and just want to enjoy tonight.

Yep, I'm still here great result today.

This was exactly the performance I knew we were capable of,not sitting back but forcing the game rattling the opposition.

not a stupid thread. Its just pionting out that when times get tough dont slag off the manager whos done well. but get behind him and support the team.

Stupid thread. Just because it worked today doesn't mean we got it right last week or the week before. Indeed first win in 6 and first goal for 9 hours or so in open play. Why do people have to be right or wrong on here? It is a forum for opinions after all.

Anyway, great unexpected win today. Great performances by all.

You'll disagree but your completely wrong. He's gone with the same tactics he always has which is to make defending and being solid the priority and hitting them on the counter attack.

When holloway or anyone else for the matter could of got this palace team to get 3 points against the league leaders then let me know.

He is a tactical Genious end of and he proved that today.

Really. Both full backs got forward today as did both wingers. Jedi gave the ball away far less today, because he actually had some forward passes he could make and the players are also getting more familiar with the set up which frees the mind to do what comes naturally, rather than always thinking about positions. We counter attacked with a real speed and purpose and actually tried to pass it around at times rather than just hoof it. TP also did a Ollie and kept telling them to push up and encouraged them to run with it and take the game to them. In the previous five games he did not do this, so clearly somethings were different.
The dig at Ollie is strange, why? The man gave us our greatest ever moment at the Amex and for that I will always be grateful. I had serious doubts about Ollie and I have a dislike of the tactics employed over the last five games with Pulis, but that's just my personal opinion.

All the criticism of Pulis's tactics is just unreasonable......And the, 'we should get forward more' idea is unrealistic.....And considering we only had 33 percentage of the ball....It didn't happen today more than previous days.

We sit back because we are playing better passing sides who will chew us up if they are given space.

This idea that Pulis has just been sitting back and hasn't been trying to get Palace to play a fast breaking game is just.....Well wrong headed.

He has identified this method as the way to play to give us the best chance of staying up....And he hasn't done such a bad job so far.

I wondered how long it would be before we got a crap thread like.

For the record we didn't park the bus today, we showed much more attacking threat. Let's do this next week and not go back to hanging around our box.

Well we got forward with far more purpose and regularity today against the best side we've faced in the last six games. The whole mindset seemed different and the players played with far more freedom today it seemed. I was so pleased with the overall performance and the possession stats are not the concern as we will nearly always be out possessed, but it's what you do when you have it and today we were far more positive in possession.

As we played the same starting 11 as last week you would assume he was playing similar tactics, the question is, should we apply the same tactics v Newcastle as Chelsea, if we pay a defensive game when we don't have to we are inviting inferior teams to attack and risk losing like last week to a team who lost there next two games 0-3 and 0-4.If we play the same formation for the remaining games we could lose to W.Ham but beat Man city or vice-versa, seems an odd game plan to me.

What I loved today is that our attacking was reminiscent of our attacking last season, if we could play like today more often I'd be very happy indeed !
