Was quality when playing up front for the U21's yesterday. He should be that much better than every player on the pitch but often you find that the first teamers don't actually stand out in these matches. Which says a lot for his attitude, too. You're completely right.

Interesting, I would imagine he's going to be playing for all if not most of the 90 minutes, as they seem to be trying to get him match fit.

I can see a wonder goal from the half way line coming from him

Don't be silly that sort of thing doesn't happen at Selhurst...

may not have been for us but a certain Mr Beckham did it against the squatters at selhurst.....

Didn't Steve Staunton score from the halfway line when we had him on loan?

I know it was away but Ian Wright v Wimbledon, and did John Salako score one against Forest?

Here's the Staunton goal. Not quite halfway line as I remembered but not far off!

KG out him in

Yes I agree but I also have a feeling for him playing up front. He could not do any worse than what we currently have!.

You make it sound like were a disaster in progress, being beaten soundly week in week out by everyone. We got a point away at Sunderland, Swansea and were very unlucky not to get another at Newcastle.

Quick look at the table, there are three clubs currently doing much worse than us, on bigger budgets, with some very established talent.

I do like Guerdiora but am pretty sure TP will start with the same team we had against Newcastle.

Speroni

Mariappa...Dann...Delaney...Ward

KG...Jedinak...Ledley

Puncheon...Bolasie

Jerome

Subs: Hennessy; Gabbidon; Parr; Guerdiora; Bannan; Ince and Murray

Perhaps we will see Chamakh back and Guerdiora in against Villa.

He won't start because he has talent!
Whilst TP was our best bet to stay up I am beginning to lose the faith (please make me eat humble pie) and realise that talent and play making are not what he wants.
He should start and we might even create chances otherwise it will be same old and Chelski will have a lot of fun.
