Maybe if we try attacking the fans will make more of a noise. We didnt looked like scoring v man utd or saints. Its up to the team to attack and create some excitement. Making a lot of noise wont intimidate top teams

So that's why we need to get behind them and not expect to be royally entertained before making some noise.

Great point palace15

I think it's the sitting back that causes the problem, causes groans all round! When you get the midfield closing down, snapping at the heels of the opp' causing them to make mistakes, thats when the noise decibals start to rise!

Disappointing that its actually got to the stage where fans are suggesting we should compromise our unbelievable support (the only thing we came up with).

Regardless of how good or s*** we are, we should get behind the team 100% no matter what. And if people think it makes no difference, your wrong.

We was a 12th man on a number of occasions last season where we went 2 goals down at home (and away) and if it wasn't for our fantastic support we wouldn't have won those games - fact.

We need to get Selhurst rocking on Saturday and I'll be in Arthur W screaming my lungs off and tryna generate as much noise as possible!

Suggest you watch the M.Utd game back again, we had chances and their keeper pulled off a couple of good saves, Utd are top six, Southampton beat us through a dodgy back pass, we had chances in that game too. We hit the bar against Newcastle had a few chances, You just want to dwell on the negative, funny how you went quiet when we were having a good spell. We are in a dog fight and cannot afford to risk everything by attacking sides that we have little chance of beating. If you want entertainment tickets are avaliable for the x factor tour.

When do Chelsea sing then ? cause they didnt at Stamford Bridge and if I remember rightly the special one praised us. No team has come to selhurst this season and sung for 90 minutes !!

I find that chelski away are a different set of fans from the home games and are pretty loud

Totally agree with the support Mstrobus, but i think you've missed the point a bit. When you have 10 men behind the ball defending for their lives, it causes anxiety for the fans and then nullifies the noise levels! By no means am i saying we are good enough to attack these consistently to create a noise, but what we have been good at doing in previous games in midfield is pressing and closing down! This usually gets the crowd on their feet and the atmosphere going and in turn spurrs the team on also.

absolutely, this is what the team needs, we are all in this together fans and players.
The players have said it enough times how much we can boost them during a game

Away fans are generally the ones who sing... palaces away fans sing more than the home ones and so do most teams. Southampton and man u were loud throughout the game... might have been cos I was in block u of the arthur but I heard em singing... im sure chelsea will know about the palace rep and will come down knowing they need to sing to outdo us. The atmosphere against man u and esp southampton wasn't that good and if we are gonna have any chance against chelsea we need noise from our fans to get the players believing in themselves and to raise their game.

I think the football rather than the singing will decide the result - people are daft if they think singing 10 decibels louder will improve the team's performance. We're still hopeless on the pitch.

..singing and supporting your team is actually known to help.
..only scoring wise.

We're not "hopeless" How many thrashings have we had under Pulis? We lost only one game by 3 goals. In fact we only conceded 3 in one game. How many teams have had proper pastings this year? We're not Bayern Munich. But we're not hopeless either.

To my eternal shame I've been with Chelsea away. I'd say they are loud.

So I'd say this weekend demands an extra effort.
