The only reason we didn't get dicked 4-0 yesterday was because Cisse played rather than Loic Remy.

Do you honestly believe that Remy would have missed any of those chances?

Newcastle were able to create those openings despite our so called tight defensive formation.

Yes we battled hard and our defence put out fires, but on another day we would have gone down much earlier.

You obviously didn't see the game then.

I watched the full 90 minutes.

That being so, I can only conclude you don't know anything about football.

You are behaving like a school child again, and as such I refuse to engage in debate with you.

I guess your problem is being an electrician - like Billy from DIY SOS you are a joke mate.

As "a two bit retired IFA" I am able to suss out plonkers and you are clearly a 24 carat one.

Mmmmm you weren't saying that when you were looking for a play off final ticket last year.

Since then something seems to have happened to you?

You were very pleasant to engage with, but lately you are aggressive and unreasonable.

I think it best if we ignore each other unless you would like To PM with any issues you have and I will attempt to resolve them.

I'd rather get on with ALL palace fans tbh.

Umm....back to the point, if you watched the game
I don't know how you conclude that we should have lost 4-0. Did you miss the part where Bolasie hit the bar or where KG and CamJam were one on one with the keeper?

Both teams created chances and both squandered them. On another day we could have won 4-0.

...I feel the timing of that defeat has fractured their memories of the Cisse chances, we did well to stop him, but as you say Remy would of been a different story and I agree with you.

Hitting the bar is not a shot on target.

Jerome took that shot on because he had no faith in KG or Bolasie to score.

Having watched Palace for over 50 years, I can assure you that 4-0 victories come along very rarely.

I agree that we harassed Newcastle and worked our nuts off, but we still allowed them chances and it was lucky they all fell to Cisse.

If we could go back in time I would rather Loic Remy start then Cisse. Cisse scored Remy probably wouldn't hsve.

Moron.

....bit OTT, but we were fortunate with their missed chances, Newcastle are sooo much better than us...so of course they will create, but we showed that we are not relegation bound with that performance.

Thank you.... but it's a lot OTT..... typical moron poster accusing others of being a moron.

I wasn't dreaming about the 4 great chances Cisse had and how he only managed to convert one ffs..... how does that make me a moron to point it out?

..it doesn't, but they're still raw about yesterday so they are defending Palace a bit over the top,
but your reaction to his Moron has had the effect he desired Hoof, he obviously did not read your post properly, because moron made no sense to what you wrote.

Maybe, but Remy could well have scorned those chances on a first game back. Who knows. If Chamakah had been fit, maybe we win it 2-1. If Bolaise had been slightly luckier, we win it 2-0. On another day the ref gives that handball, the player is off, and they play out with 10 men for a draw.

Normally I wouldn't rate Bolaise as a goal scorer but he was so f**king close yesterday.

And I really don't understand your type of match evaluation to be honest. Doesn't seem to have any real sense or consistency to it.

Perhaps not with the performance (matter of opinion) but certainly with the result. Even a point may not have been that good. The problem with 7/8 games left for most sides is that someone like Fulham could get thrashed 5-0 in most of those games but also pick up a couple of wins. Same applied to most of the teams down there. We have not scored in open play for more than 8 hours and honestly don't greatly look like doing so. We might pick up the odd draw between now and the end of the season, but that won't be enough to keep us up.

I've seen this type of arguing before!

Undermining my arguments by claiming I don't know what I'm talking about.... it wouldn't surprise me if you were a clone of another poster.

My point is very simple - We were not unlucky yesterday as Newcastle squandered at least 4 good goal scoring opportunities despite the fact that we set up to deny them those opportunities.

If you cannot understand that simple statement it is you that has a problem, not me.

What baffles me is why if someone disagrees with someone it makes them a moron, a plastic or know nothing about football? If people don't want a debate don't come on here, because apparently that's what a forum is for.

I never got to see the game yesterday, but if I'd heard we had twenty one shots, eight on target compared to eight, one on target I would not be thinking didn't Newcastle deserve a draw out of that game. I, like you would of been saying why didn't we win or win easier.

Two years ago Chelsea won the Champions League after being outplayed in both semi final legs and the final and no one thought they deserved it. I know it's all about goals and you can't take it away from them, but they really didn't deserve it.

Exactly right.

I have taken dog's abuse on here for simply stating we were lucky yesterday despite our hardworking attitude because Toon squandered 4 good goal scoring opportunities.

To be honest I blame the Facebook/Twitter army who think it is acceptable to abuse people knowing that as keyboard warriors they are faceless and safe from retribution, but we all know they are cowards in real life.

That would have been a good point.

But Man City away would have been a good point, Chelsea away would have been a good point, and of course, if my auntie had b0llocks, she'd be my uncle.

We couldn't defend for the entire game its that simple, we switched off and you simply cant do that at this level as you invariably get punished.

That's all it takes. Defend like warriors for 93 minutes, one mistake and WALLOP you're done. We really should know that by now !

You'll be forever in my family's memories and it was an honor and privilege to play and lead in the red and blue
