I think Ince could easily play central forward role just behind a target man like Jermome or Wilbraham. Picking up scraps would imo give us more of a chance than 1 striker up top on their lonesome.

As said earlier we just cannot expect to win games creating one or two chances. A top line striker scores about 1 in 3 so to ask us to score every chance we create is bonkers. Ultra defensive style may hold an opponent but it tops midfielders getting into the box to score. Right now we are repeating the Freedman style just in a higher division....we hated it then!

Because you thick c*** , Stoke have been in the Premiership the last six years and therefore have the money to attract, buy and pay Premiership players . The same Stoke we beat at home this year. The same Stoke who Tony Pulis got to the Premiership and kept them there for those six years.
One shot on target again.

We were away at Newcastle - a team in the top nine. We got tired and could not attack with real purpose after the hour mark but we held on - well damn nearly held on. We dominated periods of the game especially the first fifteen minutes of the second half. Unfortunately we do not have a genuine scorer fit and able to turn chances in to goals. Murray will be OK next season and Jerome will never be OK. To criticise our performance is churlish, to suggest we go the Cardiff route simply insane. Cardiff attack teams, have some good players in the advanced roles, play exciting football.....and lose 3-6. I would much rather have us playing to our strengths than getting thumped but having everyone saying how delightful our football is after yet another hammering. I loved watching Blackpool in the top flight. All gung-ho and great entertainment but they got RELEGATED!
