Actually it's not a waste of post at all IMO, I strongly believe that we could actually go down BECAUSE of this issue.. Sometimes a reputation goes before someone and what did TP really see or know about Murray before he came to Palace ? prob not a lot then was bombarded with Murray itis from all sides when he got here.

We dont fit Murray's attributes anymore.

Use your eyes Tony and go with the saying of 'your only as good as your last game' and with Murray that was a long time ago, well before his injury, don't quote me but I think he may have only scored 1 in his last 10 championship games..

Or at least try to supply him with wide balls from Bannan and Bolasie.

You tell Pulis to open his eyes and claim Bolasie should be up front. This is why he is a manager and your a HOL poster who knows f*** all but likes to think with 2 different players on the pitch we can turn into a mini barca. Be quiet you got to be an infant.

i knew this would happen. Even a fully fit, all firing muzza wouldnt score with these negative tactics.
A few weeks back, the video of all glenn's goals from last season was doing the rounds. Look at it again. Pens aside, and two at most from outside the box, all of the goals were scored in and around the 6 yard box, from crosses coming into him, head and feet.
Murray isnt a run the channels type player. Thats why we looked better when jerome came on. Thats what he can do, albeit him being pony.
Murray was ineffective when we first signed him, again due to tactics. When we started giving him service, bang! the goals flowed.
Its all well and good being set up to not concede, but theres more to football than sitting back and hoping we catch a lucky break.
We can still play tight and counter well. Look at chelsea and man city away. We played excellently. Played tight, and countered brilliantly. I thought we were unfortunate not to get something from those games.
Pulis seems to be stifling the players, and not have much confidence in them going forward. Its anti-football. We do have players who can hurt teams if given the chance.
If we're to have a chance of staying up, we need to be a bit more adventurous. Therefore,if we want murray to score, we at least have to provide him with chances, which he thrived on last season.

Exactly. Messi wouldn't score playing in this set up.

If we're going to play this way I think we should still be starting with CamJam, get him to tire out the defenders before unleashing Murray, at least until he's fully match fit. Probably not the most popular of suggestions I'm guessing, but a half fit Murray against a tiring defense would work better than the reverse.

Two things. Firstly I would ask Eastend to be more respectful. The way he posts only destroys his argument. People are only giving an opinion about something not personally offensive and deserve a reply in that nature, not a poorly punctuated insult.
Secondly, how many chances are being created to enable Murray to have a crack? virtually nil. Murray is being blamed for the shortcomings of TP selection. Come on TP get some life into our midfielders and reposition them to allow one of football's natural strikers to get the goals we need.

Ender you End, you know f all about me, tbh I was dubious about coming on my first ever forum as I am pretty new to social media etc, everyone is entitled to there own opinions and just because you don't agree with something you revert to abuse which probably says more about you than anything else.

You no doubt hide behind your online persona and doubt very much if you would talk to me like that in person.

Been completely put off now and may not be a loss to you or the HOL but this is the last post I will ever make as I think I will stick to having my conversations the old fashion way down the boozer.

Adidos.

This is a shame and pity. I hope Thommo sticks with it and Eastend realises what a horrid atmosphere his remarks are producing here. Thommo has been a good contributor on this site and I have enjoyed good banter with him.

I think the ultra defensive style of ply is difficult for Murray to play in. He doesn't have pace and that makes it difficult to plough the channels, he needs man putting crosses in, getting close in and around. For me Jerome is a better bet more pace, ok unlikely to score but we have hardly been banging them in when he's not been playing. I hope the team style changes next year and Muzza can get back to scoring.

Please Eastend, mate. Stick to the points being made on this thread and less about insulting others. It's not fun that's all. x
