I maybe over 9000 miles away but I'm still s***ting myself about today's game (I hate to think what the supporters at the ground will be feeling). A draw is not a disaster, but I feel we are more than capable at snatching a victory. Last weeks effort was painful to watch, but considering we were playing against a much better footballing side than Sunderland we only lost due to one lapse in concentration. The game is on live here at 11pm so still got a couple of hours for a few drinks to ease the nerves & get changed into my lucky pants. C'MON YOU EAGLES.

It'd be ok, because ultimately it not 3 points to them, but after a couple of losses and a draw against teams we'd probably have not expected to get points from, a win would really secure us in a driving position that made it difficult for either Sunderland or Cardiff to catch us. Losing would be bad. We could afford to lose against United and Southampton, and got lucky with results elsewhere, losing against Sunderland would put us back to equal running in the relegation battle.

Tense and nervous here too, really looking forward to the day when we are a 'run of the mill' mid-table Premier League club and that way I can sit back and enjoy....but then would I miss the adrenalin rushes?

A point would be acceptable for me. Don't want them getting any momentum, really cannot afford a loss there. I think we'll nick it 1-0.

I'd definitely take a point - I'm very sure that Sunderland are going to win this one.

I'd definitely take a point - I'm very sure that Sunderland are going to win this one. This sadly, can easily see this being a classic 25% possession defending for 90 minutes and inevitably conceding 2 goals type of game. Hopefully not though of course and a point would be a good result assuming Cardiff lose at everton, fulham lose at home and wba lose

Remember a draw is 2 points lost in Sunderland's eyes too - so long as we aren't giving 3 points away to our relegation rivals then we should treat it as a decent result. Good point!(no pun intended)depriving rivals of points.

Today is a six pointer so one point would be very welcome and keep them behind us. If we lose ...we're doomed, aye doomed!!!! Can't see us winning though because we'd have to score at least one goal but unfortunately, we don't do goals.

Yeah would take a point - see the headline article on the HOL about statistics - 3 always better but depriving a team below us of a win cannot be underestimated. They lost 3-0 last week so the longer they go without a win the better - of course we need to get a win in, but any 3 points before Villa at home would be a bonus. Will be tough and edgy - hopefully Cattermole performs to type and gets sent off and they capitulate !
