Should be no where near set pieces. Get him in the box to head it - he has won more aerial duels than anyone in the league.

I completely dont understand why vaguely skillful players don't just apply themselves to become good set piece takers, there is no innate ability to be good at them - Beckham didn't grow up bending them in from 30 yards, neither did Ambrose, neither did Moritz.

Puncheon, Moxey, Ward, Murray, Gayle, Ledley are all players I see that could be good at a direct free kick. With puncheon especially on the indirect ones as he is the smallest of the punch sol wont be in the box

can anybody tell me why jedi takes pretty much all our FK's in a dangerous position.

hes a great player and a great captain, but he shouldnt be allowed anywhere near a dead ball.

surely we have better options, and he would be better used to break up the wall or in the box in these situations!

Nowhere near. I agree.

Delivery of balls into the box in general was woeful on Saturday. JW is great but his corners are awful. Ledley delivered one decent corner...we win loads of them and rarely trouble oppo. No fan of J Thomas but he and ince at least delivered some decent crosses when they came on.

Exactly....... it's not rocket salad is it?

He's big, brave, aggressive and good in the air - let him get on the end of a free kick!

No one can place a free kick...

Knock it side ways, get anyone to smash it as hard as they can at the keeper....hope for a deflection.....goal

Simple

Was enough in the last 2 games to suggest that both a change to the starting line up and a new dead ball taker was required.

All credit to TP, but how on earth can he continue with the captain taking free kicks, pick Dikgacoi and put Jerome on as sub?

Pulis has clearly decided that the best course of action to stay up is attritional defensive football played by players picked more on athletic prowess over technique. And maybe he's right. Given the situation he came into it was probably the sole option. I just wish he cd find room for bannan in his midfield. The lack of dynamism in there is alarming.

On topic, yes it's bizzare having Jedi on free kick duty. And is another reason bannan shd be in for KG.

Others have commented that Ince looked like a lost boy. Get him involved by taking the free kicks and get Jedi in the box or on defensive duty. Kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

Based on last few performances Jedinak shouldn't even be on the pitch.
