In the politest way possible, I found your style of play very dull. Plenty of possession, but next to no penetration. Your fans continually applaud backwards and sideways passes, and there seems to be very few players in your side capable of penetrating a defence, particularly when Hernandez went off. Bony and Chico (penalty incident aside) were your most impressive players IMO. Dyer had Parr squared up 1 on 1 numerous times, and each time Dyer would turn and go back. I find it bizarre that any winger at this level doesn't thrive on running at his man (see Bolasie). The whole performance just stunk of passing for the sake of passing.

I believe that possession football really is quite an ineffective way of playing, without the calibre of players Barcelona et al. posess. To try and build a penetrative possession based side requires world class players, and on Swansea's budget, that's not possible. Furthermore, I feel this insistence on playing said way is the reason your league position is as poor as it is, it's simply too easy to defend against.

Absolutely nothing against Swansea, just some views I have on football in general, which were certainly reinforced on Sunday.

Hmm, seems to have been pretty successful for the Swans over the last 5 seasons or so. The two 3-0 performances in the season they got promoted, as well as the 2-0 at home this season have been three of the most comprehensive defeats I've seen us suffer in recent times. This season I think they lack a plan B, but I think with a fully fit squad with Bony & Michu they have that. A bigger reason for their league position is probably having the Europa League run they've had with such a small squad.

Nice to hear from you Jack lad........ did you see Ledley do the 'Ayatollah' at the end?

It made me laugh!

Hope you beat all our relegation contenders and keep us safe.

Agreed it can be successful in the Championship, but I think at Premiership level, it's generally too easy to defend against. Our side that faced swansea earlier in the season was barely premiership level.

Prior to this month they had a long break from Europa league fixtures, and still failed to pick up a significant amount of points.

To-date they have played 12 'Europa League' games.

The man city home support was awful so you didn't miss much. The Swansea support was the loudest I have heard all this season and in recent seasons. Was impressed and was close to out signing us!

According to the swans forum we were decent and a lot were disappointed with their own efforts,
Sometimes it just depends on where you are in the stadium I guess

Another terrible result for the 'too good to go down' Swans. Unless they wake up and realise they're right in the thick of a relegation dogfight, there's a real chance they'll go down IMO.

Doesn't matter though, because they play 'good football'.
