I don't expect any contracts to be offered by the owners until it is certain what league we are going to be in. Also, everyone, clubs and players, have to move on eventually. As dissapointing as Speroni leaving would be in the short-term (if it happens), it's the long-term progress of the club that matters.

Will be extremely surprised if Hennessy is better or even as good as Jules no matter what div we are in.

We've just spent a lot of money in January, and signed players on long contracts like Ledley and Puncheon.

I imagine we're waiting to see what division we're in. If we go down, we probably can't offer him what he wants, and probably can't afford two quality keepers, especially when one of them is nearing the end of his career.

If we stay up, I'd be amazed if he doesn't stay.

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

Would like to see him kept on when he retires ,
maybe coaching role.

It doesn't sound like he's intending to retire anytime soon.

He will be offered a contract. A few players are out of contract this summer and neither player or club want to negotiate properly until we know what league we'll be playing in next season.

Right now I suspect there is a Championship contract and a Premiership contract sitting in SP's office waiting to be presented when we know where we are.

Pennywise and pound foolish (not Jules).

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

Absolutely gutting to read. He is a legend and has to stay. It's inconceivable in my mind him leaving - one of the best goalkeepers in our history no doubt

What can anybody say? But time moves on and he's at a crossroad in his career. But if he goes and then gives five mores seasons at a top side I'd be gutted.

It doesn't appear that there's been much negotiating.

It doesn't matter what league we are in that can be factored into any contract e.g. £x per year in the prem £y per year in the championship.

Whatever the boards decision he deserves to be treated with respect. Almost single handidly kept us in the championship in 2010

the dignified don't even enter in the game
